Its really wonderful! its made me want to sell all my basses just to get a pj..and maybe a cheaper beater jazz...I kinda hate playing a brand new bass all day everyday! but they are great best sound and feel I have had on any bass I have owned...and I have gone through a ton of basses this year! I cant wait to get a PJ with a jazz neck!
here is mine.....I dont need another white one. I traded with armyscott for his and I am in love with this bass!
The PJ? yeah I saw it! its pretty much the only pj4 on the net right now I checked everywhere!
I kind of want another color...might have them make me one thats like the sherwood green one from the same place....I am having a MJT made sherwood green now.....or might get something different...cant decide yet....I will make more of a decision once I sell a bass or 3.
A PJ4 is one of the few 4-string models I haven't tried.
But I so much like the P and the J separately.
I have owned (at two different times) two of his PJ5s, and they were great, I could not get over my then-current distaste for 5s. I have a love-hate relationship there that I am in therapy for.

I am the same way...theres really no need for 5 I dont think unless you are in a death metal band! theres enough of the same notes on the fretboard for me! Then always hitting the B when you have a brain fart and think its the E doesnt help! I would hold out for a pj4 before taking a pj5...well unless the price was too good to be true.

Seriously, one of the reasons I got interested in Lulls in the first place was the 35" scale fiver. I only have a Lull four so far, but I've got my eyes on a PJ5.
I play 5ers almost exclusively but don't play anything close to death metal (where I wouldn't want a 5er anyways).
well once I get good enough to play 5 it will be a lull! or a roscoe...they have pretty sweet necks too...I just dont like active basses they sound like electric organs to me....yup now I am bashing actives! lol

My low notes are clear, defined and still retain a punch. I absolutely use them in a groove and melodic setting.
If you try one of mine you are going to want one.
I do need to get a 5er one of these days....I never even had one yet!
And talk about low notes being clear....I am putting the lull against my standard jazz today and I cant believe how much clearer the notes are! I am so blown away by this bass! I want to know what makes it like this! my standard jazz is one of those fluke 1 in 100 fenders....I have had dozens of fenders before finding this one...the action is so perfect on it! it almost feels boutique....yet the notes just arent as clear!!
I am trying to figure out now weather to sell everything I own and just get another lull or 2. I hate using this brand new bass 5 hours a day....but I just love it!
one more thing I am worried about it plays so nice would I get used to that and not be able to play other basses?
All I know is everytime I play another bass of mine then play the lull I am blown away every time!
I have a MJT build I had ordered in Feb......Its finally done and coming this week....and I almost have no interest in it!! lol I just want another lull!
Maybe I will go for the Lull PJ5 instead of the 4!
Think I should get into 5s that way or get a Fender or something first so I can compare it after I get the lull? plus get used to deathmetal string first and make sure I dont mind it being there.
I tried some Fodera stainless on my Lull today...they are great strings but I think I might like the prosteels that came on it a tad better. The Fodera are warmer and a bit more musical......but the prosteels give it some nice snap to cut through the SVT2 fog.

Ok, so I took the plunge today and picked up this PJ 5 in Trans black with Nordstrand pickups. Plays great and sounds huge, thanks to Mark at Bass Direct.
