not yet, but i'm in the process of ordering one. i went to Mike's shop a couple weeks ago and played one. it truly is a great bass. even with the neck pickup solo'd the low-B is still full, fat and clear.

ok so I have just ripped the Dunlop nickels off the PJ5 and installed a set of DR Sunbeams 45-125 which were previously my go to string, wow what a difference. The bass sounded great before but now has a much warmer, more balanced midrange and much fuller low end, the tone is insane, I am so addicted!

This did cost be a B string as I hadn't realised that the Sunbeam B string is not long enough before the taper to cope with through body loading on a bass with 35" scale! lesson learned the expensive way :(

Why did it cost you a B string? Just string it topside! FWIW, I've never had issues going topside... I'm currently of the belief that thru-body stringing may carry some benefits, but it's not a major matter.

The string had a kink in it after being bent over the saddle, the new string is topside and sits nice. I was hoping that going through the body with the B might give a little more tension, having Said that it feels nice enough top loaded!

Tony how long is yours going to take? I was going to order a trans orange P with a jazz neck but really don't want to wait!!!

I put fodera stainless on my v4. I love those strings! Warmer then the stock prosteels that came on it but still plenty of zing. That bass sounds so wonderful through my svt2 non pro and 8-10 fridge!!

I've had a set of D'Addario Chromes on my Lull P4 for over a year. They're the only flatwounds I've ever tried, and I liked them just fine. But I just put a set of Sadowsky Black Label flats on the bass, and now I'm disappointed in myself for having Chromes on it this whole time. To me, the Sadowsky flats sound and feel dramatically better. Those strings on a Lull P4 is P Bass perfection.
