Strings that you don't love should be recycled. IMO
And I think everyone on here knows I love the Sadowsky flats

I know I sent a bass out with pyramid flats on it. I should have put the chromes on like everyone esle does!!! I said to myself that's what I am going to do for now on. Put chromes on everything I sell like they everyone gives me and yet I just sent a bass out with Sadowsky flats!! They were so nice on the select P bass I couldn't give the guy I sold it to chromes.

Every wait is different it's depends on what they have in stock parts wise and the schedule from the finisher. (The finisher is big part of it).
I'm not sure when mine is coming...I have a another M5V coming first.
A general rule of thumb with most boutiques 4-5 months but I don't want to speak for those guys, since every situation is different.
My $.02 since Mike's basses are a distinct step up above everyone else its worth the wait...
Just call them this week and get the order going with a deposit.
I have contemplated selling all my 4 strings that I had and ordering more because they are that playable...Straight dope.

+1 I waited a long time for my build- doesn't matter- I don't want it rushed anyway-
yeah I still have my lull jazz to play while I wait!
I am pretty much selling everything I have just for a J P and PJ.....they really are that much better then everything I have ever played! but in every way too feel sound weight...I cant stop playing my jazz....everything else I have is just mud now....I am spoiled!
One thing I didnt like about them was the .787 string spacing bridge that came on it.....I had a .750 hipshot in my parts drawer put that on and now its freakin perfect! I am not sure you can order it with a closer string spacing can you? even the .750 I put the strings closest together.
There is a PJ and P online available now....not in the colors I want.....one not with the pickups I want....but both have Jazz necks I want....Is it worth waiting just for a color? I might have to pull the trigger on a color I dont want and buy another .750 bridge to throw on.
I say its worth it to hold out for the exact bass with the color you want. You'll be less likely to part ways with it once the honeymoon is over.

Yea and my lull was a wacky one- NRT5 15% larger / reverse HS / no PG / in satin black- this was a fresh cut- took a while....
I pulled the trigger on another one! I wanted a PJ passive with rosewood and a jazz neck....I love fralins and this has nordys....and I already have a white lull but the color combo is still not bad....I would have rather trans orange or some other color but I couldnt wait this is close enought to what I want!
Looking at putting my deposit very soon . Jazz rw coral color body matching hs and white pearl pg.

Anyone have coating(?) on the bridge of their MV5 flake? My bass is 13 months old and though I don't always wipe it down it's never been gigged, never had anything spill or splash on it, so I am surprised to see this. I sent an email to their service email with a photo. I'll send an update here when I see what can be done.
hipshot bridge, right? what finish? chrome or black? if it's a black finish, it will flake off with string changes. happened on the Roscoe I had.
It is chrome. No response from them yet. Waiting for them to respond before posting the gory details online
