Hey Ron, yes I got it from the Lull site! Looking back, you never did post pics of your basses so I guess this one's covered. Beautiful bass!
EDIT: Also, how does a flatwound low B sound? I've never heard one... But since you say the bass plays beautifully I'm all is good then. I've got TI flats on my Ibanez semi-hollow - 4 string though.
Yeah, no kidding there. I am comtemplating a Lull Telecaster(guitar), which I know I can't afford. Yeah yeah, I know I am also a guitarist, but the good kind, cuz I mainly play jazz
Ok, not trying to hijack our club thread here and eventhough I'm sure it's been covered in other threads I was wondering what my fellow Lull guys are using amp-wise...
I was using a Markbass 2x10 combo that I sold 2 days ago and today I just got me an Aguilar AG500 on Ebay and picked up a GS212 locally... I think the Aguilar stuff sound really good with my Lull, do you think swapping out the Bart pre for an Aguilar pre might be overkill and too much of the "Aguilar sound"?

Nah, I think its perfectly cool.
My rig has a G-K 700RB with Avatar and Epifani cabs. About the only things I want to try would be a Mesa stack and an aggie stack.
As you can tell, my rig is pretty agressive sounding, which I really like. I still need to invest in an Epifani 4x10.
Actually, the first rig I played my bass through(At Vic's) was a LMII and Epifani 4x10. It didn't dissapoint.
I have two rigs:
EA iAmp 800 head with NL210 and CXl1120 cabinets. That one handles the more "hi-fi" gigs
Aguilar DB750 with Schroeder 410L cabinet. Gets the rock stuff

I use a rackmount preamp/power amp setup. I use a Demeter HBP-1 preamp and a Crest CA9 power amp. Ocassionally I'll use my Read Custom Purity tube preamp instead of my Demeter. On the bigger stages I use a Bergantino HT210/HT115 setup, but for most of my gigs I use 2 Aguilar GS112 cabs.
I'm looking forward to a couple of big outdoor gigs this Summer, where I'm going to run my Bergies and Aggies together.

I have a Thunderfunk 550 and an Epi410-S1. I also have a Roland DBass 210, but I have been thinking about getting an Epi210, and maybe one of the new Epifani heads when they come out (the PS1000, and the Piccollo both look very interesting to me.) I like the Roland but I am not in love with it, so my gas is starting to grow.
Overall, I love the tone of the Epi stuff with the more vintage vibe of the Lull's.
As a side note, I have now made it a year without getting a bass since I got my second Lull. I made a deal with myself that if I got an M5V to go with my M5 I would not get a new bass for two years. (I have one other bass, an older fender.) But I was not sure (and still am not) if I would make it. Well a year with no new bass is a good start, and while I have amp GAS, my bass gas has been small to none.
Overall, I love the tone of the Epi stuff with the more vintage vibe of the Lull's.

I think you should try the S2 UL310 with that GK...
I would, but the only thing holding me back is the power issues. I've heard it doesn't have as much headroom and because of the odd impedance, I can't combine two cabs for an outside show(since GK doesn't go below 4 ohms for those who don't know) so I guess I don't want to get an underpowered cab. Am I on line here Vic?
Ehhh, almost.
Of course you're correct you can't gang cabs with the 310 with your current amp. However, I wouldn't call it an underpowered cab. The power diff between a true 4 ohms and the 5.3 the 310 is would not really be enough to debate over... at least not in real audible SPL's, so "underpowered" is probably not accurate to say.
The real issue is, how loud would this cab be compared to your current "310" config. It'd be interesting to find out, I'd think.
That said, it is true it probably wouldn't be much louder than your current rig, so if that's the case then yeah, you'd probably need to go to a config with more radiating space... maybe a 410 or something comparable. That should be enough for anyone tho. I've NEVER needed more than 4 10's... EVER.
My Markbass 2x10 combo was nice in the last 8 months... The portability is just unbeatable, I used to play gigs every Saturday in downtown Long Beach, CA and parking was hell... I would have to park 3-4 blocks away and it was nice to one-hand my combo to the bar. But after a while I just couldn't stand the "dryness" in the sound (as I call it), it just didn't feel alive... Come to think of it that was probably more because of the speakers than the Little Mark that was in there...
I think the new Aguilar rig will do me just fine, the AG500 is enough Aguilar sound for half the price and weight of the Big Daddy 750 (they should've called it BD750)... for me anyway. The only worry I have is I can only afford a GS212 for now and it's a 4 ohm... so that means I can't use any other cabs with it... Oh well, I'll leave that up to the future.
Oh ya, I noticed most or all of you mix/match your heads/cabs... I haven't arrived at that point yet, I like the "look" of the matching head/cab, hahahaha.
For the first time ever I am fully comfident with my bass and amp... I am a happy camper!
So, sorry to sidetrack the thread... back to the basses, hahaha.

Another Lull + Epifani user.
Epifani UL 212 and a UL 112; mated with a GK 1001RB II. I love those setups!! The 212 has never let me down.

I played my Lull through my neighbor's Epi 902/Performer 410 rig and it was heavenly... Sounded like a DB750 in my ears. The sound was so bright and clear that notes just seemed to jump out... At the same time it exposed so many holes in my playing... yikes!
