UPDATE! ITS HERE!!!!!!!!!!! Sadly, I can't see her tonite due to a physics exam. I am up here at college 45 minutes away from home, where my bass got shipped to, and I have a Physics exam tonite so there goes going home tonite. Gotta wait till tomorrow.:hyper:

Mine is here! M5V #616. It came a little before noon pst, first time ever that something came before I was expecting it... UPS said between 12 and 1, I expected it at 2 or 3... Haha.

First impressions, and this will be all the update I can give atm:
Nice bass! It doesn't quite feel as silky smooth as my Fender Custom Classic J, and by that I mean all around... The body edges and the fretboard egde are a little more squared off than I'm used to. It feels more like a vintage Fender than my Fender.

Changed the strings, got my DR Nickel Lo-Riders on there but I am having a little trouble dialing in my setup (action, etc.) without getting too much fretbuzz... So between that and the tighter tension of a 35" I'm having a little trouble playing the best or as fast as I can, just not used to it yet.

Electronics sound very nice... I believe I have the Barts in there, not too aggressive just the way I like it. Very Jazz-y as I'm sure that's what Mike was after.

The low B kills! Which was priority #1... So it seems that 35" is indeed the way to go for me.

All in all so far that bass feels more "ballsy" than my Fender, deep lows, very usable midrange between the 2 settings, and no sizzling highs! I like treble for clarity but my ears just don't take well to sizzling brittle highs.

I don't know what else to say, I know it's not quite a glowing first review but I like the bass anyway... I think I will like it more and more as I play it more.

Dude, sounds like a good setup and the thing will be a beast! I'll tell ya about mine tomorrow. :hyper:

Looking forward to your review Bro... And that is the bass we're talking about in your avatar, correct? That actually caught my attention on the Lull site before I realized that was yours... Sweet!

Update on #616: Messed with the setup some more and I'm getting there... It's playing sweeter and sweeter with every tweek!

Actually, thats not mine, but it is sort of what mine will be.

Mine will instead have the transblack finish, PJ5 with the J in the 70's placement. O yeah, also, Aggie OBP-1 Pre.

Cant wait. I want to see yours to bro:hyper:

Here's mine! Lull P5 with Reverse P setup, 18v Aggie Obp-1 preamp, Nordie pups... Got this from Bass & Beyond a few months ago and has been my "go to" bass ever since. Amazing versatility, super lightweight and not bad looking IMO. Serial #1140....now how bout my#???
