The most overplayed cover tune EVER.

I'll tell you, the reason these songs get so overplayed is because apparently people never get sick of them. They work the majority of the time.
Truth. It's weird how I will skip them when they come on in the car, but thoroughly enjoy them when the crowd is diggin' 'em.

Absolutely Proud Mary. It was played enough up here for crowds of departing/returning servicemen during the war in Vietnam to easily outweigh any other tune anywhere ever. Five times a set sometimes, four times a night for seven years or so-- times I don't know how many bar bands--
I think it's because they're really, really easy to play.
Around here we got what we call "the same old-lame olds" & most have been covered except "Some Kinda Wonderful".
Anything done by a cover band is overplayed.

That must explain why most originals bands have so many more (and higher paying) gigs than cover bands!
LOL! My band does all three. Gotta say I enjoy playing 'em though. We kinda put our own stamp on them.
