For sure, just need to save the funds. I've reached out to them a few times about demos (because there aren't a lot of demos yet for any of these products), but I have not yet received a response. So I'll keep saving those pennies!

Hey, all. I'm about to list my Mu-Fx Micro-tron. I realized I am still addicted to my Ibanez 303B. I know that these are out of stock right now, so I figured I'd give the group a heads up in case anyone is looking to buy one.
For those who may be interested, as of this morning (Mon Oct 1) at 10am PST, Mutron has a new batch of Micro-tron III's (in vintage silver) in stock and available to order on their website.

I noticed it dropped off the board - not that I'm keeping tabs or anything. Any specific complaints? I've settled pretty firmly on the EQD Grand Orbiter, but I'm always keeping tabs on what else is out there.
I'm a Mu-Tron newcomer and hadn't seen this thread until Grahams Groove revived it earlier. Combing through everything here I found a lot of good info that helped get me up to speed.... I was able to snatch up a Micro-Tron III Vintage Silver yesterday and got the shipping notification today! Stoked to finally get to try one
The phaser I have been using for a long time is Spaceman Explorer, which is the pinnacle of phasers IMO. However, it has a big box and side jacks, so it takes a lot of room on my pedal board. So, I tried the Phaser III, thinking that I could achieve some space savings with minimal downgrading of tonal quality.
But, I just didn't bond with the phaser III and I put the Explorer back on the board.

Strong move. The Microtron is glorious. I’m a filter junky, and it is the last man standing alongside my Wonderlove.
I still rock the MicroTron III. I actually alternate the MicroTron and the three knob Xero depending if I’m playing with the acid jazz band or the doom band.
I think the way the MicroTron III sounds is how all envelope filters wished they sounded.
Filter junky here too. The Chromatron had dethroned my Wonderlove.
Anyone know definitively whether or not the new Microtron III is true bypass (versus buffered)?
I assume it's TBP since the gain staging isn't 'bleeding' into my signal when bypassed, but I haven't seen anything on their site/instruction sheet...

Pull the power out of the pedal, if your signal still plays then it is true bypass...if no signal with no power then not true bypass. Easiest way to know for sure.
To test for true bypass I think the pedal footswitch also has to be in the off position with no power to see if the signal passes through. I tried it earlier with my Micro-Tron and get a signal so I assume it's true-bypass.
if it is not powered, it should not matter, but yeah...no power, gives signal no matter if off/on = true bypass
Did I need another Mu-Tron? Well No, however this Ltd Edition MkII Micro-Tron III just arrived in the post. They remind me of the lovely old vintage Audiophonic Argentinian Mu-Trons or Univox Uni-Tron 5 authorised Japanese versions and sounds as funky and retro as it looks...
