The NEW acoustic 360/361....

This thread was closed yesterday at 4:00 and reopened at 11:00am today. I couldn't post.
Here's an idea: Don't waste your time writing things that don't mean anything. Instead, write down some questions or thoughts about the units you'd like answers to.

Much better - "A customer"
Soon I bet there will be ten of them.

Does it come with a Box?

Does it come with a Lifetime warranty?
Old Acoustics did.

Ah it's good to be proven wrong finally. If Ampeg can farm out a B15 to a 3rd party to design and build it in the USA, it's about time GC does the same.

While you are at it.. can you take photos of the back of the head/preamp section.. also if you can pop the grill on the cab, it would be nice to see the power amp in the cab.

Winning!!! :D

And once again I am at work.
Yes. I have a brand new Acoustic 360 with 2 Acoustic 361 cabs. Brand new. From Acoustic USA. Picked them up on Feb 17th. NOT refurbs. Brand new. 400watts RMS, not 200 like the original. When I get home tonight I'll put up some pics and give you more info. You waited 8 years, a few more hours won't hurt. You'll have the whole weekend to ask questions.

I think we'd all have to see it in a store to believe it.

And I just don't see the Acoustic Control Corporation giving up the copyright to their name anytime soon...

That would be the trademark, Harry. It seems not many people here have any idea what happens when you get into issues of patent/trademark/IP law, and the lawyers get involved. You start measuring time in years, not days...

I'd wager a lot of this time has been spent dealing with the zillionth revision of some document between them and GC, or them and whoever holds the ACC trademark, or the zillionth and first. One doc for the color, one for the name, one for the distribution rights in NA, seemingly ad infinitum. You can start to get the picture. Lots of times, these startups are made or broken by how fast they can keep up with the legal fees and if they can then still afford to get anything out the door.

This is the 360 preamp. Both active and passive inputs with a mute switch. Controls: Gain, compreesion, growl grit, growl level, treble, bass, variamp: 50hz - 100hz - 200hz - 400hz - 1000hz - 2200hz, variamp effect control, volume, headphone out jack, power switch. I only have a sony Cyber-shot camera so the pic isn't perfect. There's a 2 button footswitch that turns compression on/off and growl on/off.
Someone asked about warranty. 3 year limited warranty. Acoustic Control had lifetime but that ran out after they died.
The stuff about copyright & legal time. Very true. Anyone who's had dealings with that knows the problems.
The manual comes with 5 example tone settings. The variations seem to be endless. The 361 not only has the 18" Eminence speaker but also a High Frequency Horn that can be truned off if desired.

And yet the fact remains that there is presently a company selling these amps using the name "Acoustic" with the same (or close enough) logo design; I just don't see how any one person could start building amps of that name/design without incurring the rath of the courts. It would be like me going to TJ and setting up production line making "Fenders"...

Can we get a pick of the back of the amp too... and the power amp in the cab..

Really want to see that stuff

Acoustic Control --> Samick Corp --> Guitar Centre. Acoustic USA has the rights to produce bass amps. Everthing has to be approved by GC. Of course, anything like that has to be UL, CSA, etc approved. Takes forever.

And you have to find a box. Boxes just don't grow on trees you know ...

Can you post pictures of the boxes? Seems we had to wait long enough they must be something special.

Post some inside shots of the amp. The old acoustic control amps were very modular and silk thread used to tie the wires together.
