Internet hugs.........ahhhh. Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Everyone good now? Now I pose a hockey question we can all comment on to move on with.

What is your favorite player that never played for your team?

I would have said Mike Modono but he played for the Wings for about four weeks last year before he got hurt. He was a GREAT two way player for the Stars that kept it together for a long time. He came from Westland MI, I believe too.

But since he's inelegable I'll vote for a player on a real rival, not the pansy a$% rival between Pitt and Philly but a Colorado Avalanch. Joe Sakic was a great player, captain, he killed us, and he did it with class.

Oh yeah, that real rivalry. How far back does that one go? All the way to the 90's right?

Just saw this stat flash up during the STL/SJS game.......in the 89 games of the 2011 playoffs, there was a total of six game misconduct penalties. In the 21 games so far in this years playoffs, 11 of those penalties.

Chimera slashed Marchand's man parts - if I was commissioner that would be at least a double minor.

Alzner thought he was pretty clever drawing an extra two minutes on Lucic. The crying gesture provided a dramatic coda. How did the ensuing 4 on 4 work out? We'll see how tough he is next game, I'm going out on a limb here, his head will be on swivel on Thursday.

Then Backstrom gets a 10 minute game misconduct for taking a run at Peverly with 0:00 remaining on the clock.

The teams are actually pretty closely matched which make the Stanley Cup the greatest post-season in sports. However, one team has been there before (recently!) and has the character to prevail when the going gets tough and the other is already starting to unravel.

I don't know that I can pick an absolute favorite. Gretsky was a magician, as was Mario. But one of my favorites to watch was Guy Lafleur. He was so smooth. I wasn't wild about the Canadiens (probably because they were so dang GOOD in that era), but Lafleur was fun to watch.

And again, this series is not over. Last I checked, a team needs to win 4 games to advance. But if they DO finish off the Pens, I still don't see them getting past the Rangers or Bruins. Just like Philly has had the Pens number this year, the Rangers (and the Bruins to an extent) have been Kryptonite for the Flyers this year.

Thinking back on it,....my biggest fear is Bryz. In this series,...it's not that Bryz has played better that MAF,...it's that Fluery has been worse and their team defense has been poorer.

I don't see that being the case on the HUBS and certainly not the case on the RAGS; if either team ends up being who the Flyers face IF the Flyers advance (as far as I'm concerned this series is still up in the air). Lundquist and Thomas are unbelievable goalies and they are in the Flyers' heads.

Bryz needs to lose a game or two to wake up. Or he needs to steal this game 4 with a shutout or 1 GA. It'd be nice to have Mezzaros back.

Who knows maybe the Flyers can win series on shear firepower. Ak-47 style.

Yes, Lucic is a punk. He's the only guy on the ice looking to start a fight when there's nothing to fight about.

I'm not happy about what Backstrom did... Peverley gave him a little trip, but that doesn't excuse a cross-check. Hopefully Shanahan doesn't suspend him for it; that would be a huge loss for the Caps.

And the Caps are starting to unravel? Because they're down a game in the series? What a homer you are. I don't know who's going to win it, but I know that the Caps are playing virtually even hockey with the Bruins.

I had a couple of non-hockey watching friends call me out of the blue in the game's waning minutes. Both said they were captivated & had watched the entire game. I know these guys...so I know they like to see goals scored...but I also know they like the pugilistic endeavours, too.

They released "Goon" the day I had to come back from Philly last month. The guys on the radio there were saying it's a good movie.... sucks I had to leave that day. I knew they wouldn't be showing a movie about hockey where I live...
