We're cool Jeff. You're a good guy, always have been. I had to double check your initial post about Crosby as it didn't seem like something you'd say. You and warwick.hoy are the two guys I look most forward to reading posts from in these threads. TheXym and marcray too, but they have since left us.

I don't have the hockey history or knowledge like you do, so I know your posts will have something good to say and I usually pick up a point or two from them. You were also very cool about helping me better understand the game a few years ago when these threads first started going.

I think the Flyers seal the deal Wednesday, and fittingly so. The Pens haven't played enough winning hockey in this series. Let Philly win the clincher at home and move on. They sure deserve it. But maybe the Pens can pull it all together for 60 minutes and squeeze out a win.

Internet hugs.........ahhhh. Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Everyone good now? ;) Now I pose a hockey question we can all comment on to move on with.

What is your favorite player that never played for your team?

I'll start. I love Bobby Orr. Always have. Did a book report on him in high school. He single handedly changed the game by being such a scoring defenseman. My dad used to make me watch him when I was young and I modeled alot of my game after him(as much as I could). I was really happy to see him and Clarke drop the puck together at the boston winter classic. He is still one of the best skaters in the history of the NHL and I think the best skating/scoring defenseman ever. He is the only Bruins jersey I would ever spend my money on and one day will get one. He was the only poster of a none Flyer I had in my room growing up, him and Herb Brooks.

I'm also glad to see LAK doing well against the Canuckleheads. I may have been a little emotional with my Flyers 1st comment,...I do like the Kings in the West. Is Gagne still playing for LA?

Honestly, I'm just hoping the Kings get past the first round. It's been a VERY long time since they've done that. When they're playing well, they can play with anyone, but they can lose to anyone, too (including twice to Columbus). Their lack of goal scoring power is going to catch up to them soon enough. Quick is the only thing that has gotten them this far, but he needs some help on the other end of the ice for the team to have any real success.

Gagne got hurt in late December, and is still out.

"Yesterday’s Flyers-Penguins Game 3 achieved a 10-year high rating for a non-Stanley Cup Finals game. The 2.3 overnight rating was the highest since the Red Wings and Avalanche drew a 2.4 during a playoff game in 2002. It was also the most-watched playoff telecast since NBC regained NHL rights in 2006, and a 77% increase over a comparable telecast last year. "

In other words... we like it like that.

Caps get a power play goal from Semin and take a 1-0 lead into the first.

The more I watch Lucic, the more I realize he's just a thug. Guy's entire game is picking on people smaller than him. At least douchebags like Steve Downie pick on guys their own size... sheesh.

He was voted toughest player in the league by the players this year and it took me about 30 seconds to find this.

Here's an oldie but goodie:
He also scored a couple times this year.

The B's also need to throw their bodies around a little more and play with some more intensity.

if YOU think that I think we are now the favorites in the series, buddy you are mistaken.

yeah, i'd rather be in our position than yours, but i'll believe Nashville is going to win this series when they actually do it...:D

any time, any place (as it were), Detroit is always a threat to win any series, and i have no illusions about the type of hockey we're gonna have to play if WE want to win it (that is, tough and d**n good hockey, not the thuggish kind that has figured so prominently in all the recent posts)

Dave, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Nashville won the series, they were the team I feared most going into this thing. They are a very good team, what they don't have is a Datsyuk or Zetterberg on the ice, but they have a very good defense and a good goalie, that counts for a lot in the NHL playoffs. And Detroit has been out of sync since all the injuries a month ago.
