seriously, Bill is one of the folks on here that I always find helpful and full of good knowledge. I always learn from his posts.

I always read Bill's posts with interest and attention - he is always on target.

IMO he's one of the most valuable resource people on TB!

And I always marvel at the foofs who won't pay attention to the valuable advice he provides at no cost to them - except yielding a bit of their pride. Some people just won't listen to good advice when it's given to them.

Bill speaks the truth and doesn't sugar-coat it. Sometimes feathers get ruffled, but I don't understand this. As someone who enjoys front-loaded arrays of tens, I have never been offended when Bill points out their design flaws.

I found the dampening threads especially helpful. Turns out that's something of a magic bullet for improving the tone of mid-priced cabs. I'd never known about it before.

I have to chime in here just to tell him thanks. I don't know if I could put a price on what I've learned and the money I've saved on gear by reading this guy, following links he's pointed to etc. but if I figured it all up, it would be pretty high. That much is like a free education, the frustration this has saved me is priceless.

Do you mean the Sentry IV?

They were a good design, but like most W horns they had to be crossed over around 400-500 Hz due to their flat panel construction. I got around that restriction with my DR series by using all curved pathways, extending the woofer horn response to 2kHz.
