Does anyone know if Maruszczyk strings are available anywhere other than the Public Peace site?

yea pretty much. Like as a dealer i can buy some if I wish like. Pretty easy to stick a few packs in a shipment.

Maruszczyk placement is in between both 60 and 70's. However you can order 60's on a custom order without problem.

I've finished reading the last 600 or so comments in this thread and mostly people seem thrilled with their basses. Then, there are comments about fret sprout, nut to tuning peg alignment, wrong string spacing, and things like that, which have me hesitant to go forward on the configurator.

Does Maruszczyk have fit & finish and communication problems or are these just minor things that come up when mail ordering a custom instrument?

When you guys talk me in to a purchase (which is what I'm hoping for), coming from the US, should I just go through their site or have an American dealer involved?

100% agreed. Things can happen in transit and all. I am told Adrian inspects every instrument that gets sold and I doubt he did not notice it before shipping the bass in question out to customer.

yes sir , any bass leaving the HQ is packed by adrian himself (and setup)

I'd going through a US dealer. A good dealer will make ordering easier, and assist you with design, and any issues you encounter, all for the same price (maybe less) than going direct.

I'm thinking hard about ordering a multi scale 5 headless frog with Delano extenders split coil/humbucking. Although I should really sell something else first i don't like having stuff around that's not getting played

I've been thinking of a short scale headless Frog but Adrian won't make them shorter than 32"........the Cazpar just doesn't look as nice but maybe.....

It MUST be short scale? I like my 32" a lot....
