I'm going from recollection here but I believe the Jake is a bit downsized from a Fender P, but not thinner. There is an arm contour although more subtle than a Fender P. I wear my bass in a typical position, not too low or too high, and it is quite comfortable.

I'm going from recollection here but I believe the Jake is a bit downsized from a Fender P, but not thinner. There is an arm contour although more subtle than a Fender P. I wear my bass in a typical position, not too low or too high, and it is quite comfortable.
Ditto on the satin feeling great. It’s similar to the satin on American Fenders.
Speaking of satin, I just asked Adrian if he can offer a satin finish on a metallic colored body (Inca Silver for example, which Fender, Sadowsky or Valenti have done).

Maybe Adrian would call this a "matte" finish rather than "satin"? So perhaps just a comprehension problem? Did you send him examples so that he can see what you mean?
The flame board against the blue is a nice touch. Are those his pickups? I got his P and 3-way HB in my first and they have some decent output.
They’re Delanos. I went with them because the Delano Xtender I spec'ed on my 1st Maru exceeded all expectations.

Super nice. I had been wondering if 26 frets were possible on a Paddock since there's no option for it in the configurator. What are your specs besides the 16.5 mm spacing?

Now I'm thinking about whether to go with a 5-string instead (otherwise exactly the same). When you add the 5th string the Jazzus starts to look very stingrayish..

Thanks. My only worry is that it's a lot heavier than I'd like (reportedly 4.2 kg). My basses are all well under 9 lbs (which is usually my absolute limit, by choice), and most are between 7 and 8.25. I asked for light, but I did not belabour that detail. My Moped is under 7 lbs, and sounds like a metric ton. It won't get to me for another little bit.....time will tell....
Remind us of the specs -is it a standard Elwood or an L, and I assume with that opaque finish it's alder and not ash? That does seem on the heavy side for a matte L5p.
Yes it's a standard Elwood 5 , alder, 1 piece maple neck/carbon stiffeners, passive, hipshot ultralight tuners , std bridge. I am quite disappointed in the weight. Given the choice between this one and my Moped P5 that's closer to 6.5 than 7 lbs, the blue beauty mind find herself for sale. Based on my experience, I don't often choose the heaviest of the litter when I play. I sent Adrian a request to upgrade the bridge to an ultralight....I hope it isn't too late/ hasn't been shipped.
