Transparent Turquoise I ended up just going with Delano JC 4 AL single coil pickups matched with the Delano Sonar 2 pre-amp. I have a set of White Delano JC4 HE/S Jazz pickups that I bought from Best Bass Gear for a project Bass that I was going use them on but I'm saving them incase I want to swap out the the ones in this new Elwood

Couch picture! I ordered this 2/25 and got the couch pic today. I asked them not to attach the pick guard as I want to see it in the flesh with and without before deciding.

How long has the wait been from couch pic to delivery in the USA?

Thank you! I just placed my order this morning with a USA dealer called Bass Spotlight. The guy Randy I dealt with was very nice and he saved me some good money...I wish I would have known about him when I ordered my 2 Cazpar's directly

No website, He is on facebook if you search for Bass Spotlight. Really nice guy He played on tour with Survivor in the past and now he plays with Dennis DeYoung from Styx...Endorsed by Public Peace and a dealer.

I never Really heard of Delano before I purchase them on my Elwoods like those big pole pieces on them. After that 1st bass was in love with them also loved the preamp that Delano makes. That's my 2 cents. Congratulations on your New Elwood. That bass is sick.

This bass represents a lot of firsts for me.
First Maruszczyk bass
First Maruszczyk preamp
First Delano JC 4 HE/M2 pickups
First Katalox fretboard
First Lunimlay markers
First Maruszczyk strings (stainless steel)
First green bass

Also, I asked for a few custom options that will make my bass look slightly different than the configuration, making my Frog even more unique. (I value uniqueness.)

So I'm excited too!

Interesting that you mention that because I do enjoy a good thick P bass neck as well. I have medium-large hands and while my Kiesel is comfortable, I think I could benefit from something a bit thicker and deeper.
I would imagine shorter necks produce thicker necks to compensate right? So the 30" scale would be thicker than a 35" one?

I'm not really sure. The only other short scale I own is a mustang PJ, although it feels like any other 4 string jazz neck. Hopefully someone else can chime in, but I have a feeling the Maruszczyk necks have a little more depth than Kiesels overall.

I own two medium scale Maruszczyk basses. They have very similar necks, I would say comparable to modern p basses. Not chunky, but substantial. I assume you can have the neck shape customized if you ask Adrian. I doubt that the necks differ in shape according to scale length.

I've never seen a neck joint like that, and I'm fine with it visually. Are there any structural concerns I should have?

No need to worry with regards to the neck joint; i am playing several Cazpars since more than 10 years without any issue.

Thanks, that's good to hear. It's not obvious from your back of neck pic, but it sounds like it might be their standard approach and it just visually jumps out in mine.

Great body wood and finish choices - it looks like your bass is back-lit.

I'm disappointed that mine doesn't have a zero fret. It must be a configurator option I missed.

That's called a scrap joint. Strongest of all the neck joints. 1st thing I looked up when I got my Cazpar. Your all good, nothing to worry about. I had the Joker headstock installed on my Caspar.
