The addition of the Jake to the configurator is not helping my current GAS situation at all.
I call it the 'Nuclear Banana' and I'm very tempted to make it my replacement fretless...

To actually replace your current fretless?
Fortunately/unfortunately I literally don't have the space to put more musical instruments right now so practicality is enforcing a strict one in - one out policy.
My fretless and fretted Ibanez 5-ers will shortly be sacrificed to summon up a shiny new Maruszczyk methinks. That said, I'm going to also have to actually decide on what exactly I want, and that could take some time... So many options!
The other day I ordered a "From player to player" T shirt from Adrian and along with the shirt came a CD of music he either wrote or played on AND a Marusczcyk product catalogue .... I had no idea until I looked through the catalogue that "M" makes amplifiers too ... and they are just as beautiful as the custom made guitars. They use exotic wood embellishments on the amps ... just beautiful.
For years, I had "Fender blindness" ... J Bass or P Bass or PJ bass ??? And if not Fender, one of the other mass produced instrument makers .... The Marusczcyk brand really opened my eyes up to the wide array of high end international custom made instrument / instrument accessory manufacturers .... From Marusczcyk, I found Mayones, Marleaux, Bacchus (albeit Japanese) but really beautiful, top quality gear. This is NOT helping my GAS 12 step recovery program

Me too! I have 'Fender blindness' as in no need or desire for one. Maruszczyk slays any Fender. Yes, before you beat me up I have played and owned many a Fender... And Mayones... And Sadowsky... And Lakland... I'll take Maruszczyk or Mayones over any of the more mainstream Jazz/P inspired out there.

When I was about to buy my first really "nice" bass I tested all brands I could get my hands on. At first I also thought that I'd end up with a Fender or one of the other big brand names, but the Sandberg basses I tested were all much nicer in fit and finish, I could choose pickups and specific colours, scale length, etc.
It's the same with Maruszczyk, especially if you live in europe you can get an Elwood or a Jake at the same price point as mim deluxe fender basses, or customize your own bass for the same price as a mia standard/pro.
Yeah, my current stable of basses is a Ken Smith Black Tiger, pre-Gibson Tobias, Spector NS-5, Warrior, and Maruszczyk Jake. While the Jake isn't necessarily in the same league as the others it also costs much less. And frankly keeps up with the others. It is that good.
My stable of instruments is a lot like yours:
- Fodera Monarch (standard) - 4 string
- Roscoe Century Standard PJ - 4 string
- Ken Smith BSRB - 6 string
- Maruszczcyk Elwood - 5 string
The Ken Smith is my "solo" instrument...
By the way, now that it has come up, are you guys aware of similar manufacturers to maruszczyk or maybe sandberg to some extent? High quality, made somewhere in europe, easily customizable and doesn't break the bank. I'm looking for some of the more unknown brands that I probably overlooked so far.
The configurator is pure evil. I have this embedded in my brain. 
I've been planning to build a short scale something like this from Warmoth parts. I can get this incredible Jake for about a $100 more than building from parts.

Not sure. I configured just a passive set up with both. Maruszczcyk has a bunch of options and I frankly don't know enough about them to make a choice right now. This will be my first active bass. Of course with the Warmoth, the options are wide open as well.

I'm looking for some dimensions of the Frog 5-string with 18-mm spacing that don't appear on the web site. Can anyone provide the below measurements or tell me how the neck feels compared to an Ibanez SR 5-string or BTB 5-string?
- Neck thickness at nut
- Neck thickness at 12th fret
- Neck width at 24th fret

I was thinking the same, I want a 32" ... and was going to have to live with jazz width. Until I found that configurator.
