The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

So it's possible to request a deeper cutaway?
Things I asked for on that bass that are different than what is normally offered:
Deeper cutaway on the lower bout, like what appears on the Joker
Stainless steel zero fret
Slender neck = 1mm of depth less than normal at the thinnest point near the nut (I think it's 20mm deep rather than 21mm deep)
Back of neck painted matte green to match the rest of the bass
Fretboard dots in a different pattern than what's on the configurator
Knobs with glow-in-the-dark numbers on them

Some of those things I paid extra for, some were included at no extra cost.

I also asked for my initials as a 12th fret marker, but was told that wasn't possible.

Anyone tried one of these straps with the nylon end?

Looks like it'd be a great mix of plushness and comfort, as well as adjustability.

I haven't seen it mentioned here, but one of the biggest surprises when I got my Frog was the strap. I wasn't expecting a strap at all actually, since there's nothing mentioned on the site about it, but man is it comfy and nice-looking.

You got a strap with your Frog? Did you order it, or was it included?

I didn't get a strap with my Elwood. But there was a strap included in the wrong bass my dealer sent to me before, but that was at least 2.5 times the cost of mine.

I emailed my dealer and they said straps aren't included as standard. I wonder if they throw one in once a certain spend is reached.

That's interesting. My order wasn't too extravagant...it wasn't like I was getting a loaded Sputnik or anything. I kind of assumed my order was on the more affordable end of active Frogs.

Maybe it's just pure luck then. I'm not worried about not having one included, my build was in the Fender American Performer price range and I certainly wouldn't expect a plush leather strap in that price range.

Would be curious how they decide which bass gets a strap, though. And I guess you just get whichever colour they decide? Interesting for a company that gives you complete transparency and choice over basically everything else.

I have a similar one in black. I think those nylon ends are far more convenient than the leather version, especially the tiny end they usually have on one side. I also dislike the belt-like systems that force you to keep sending that thin end through various slots to make the strap fit.

All my Maruszczyk basses came with a strap, regardless of model. But none came with one of those fancy certificates....
