The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

The thing is when looking at used Maruszczyks, for not too much more you can get Adrian to build exactly what you want. All of the upside of ordering a new one has this downside if you sell.

I'll admit when I started looking at Maruszczyk as a serious option, I looked used first. Every bass had something I didn't like, or a spec I wouldn't pick, or a finish that wasn't my favourite, or pickups that wouldn't have been my first choice.. things like a 2mm nut width difference or vol/vol vs vol/blend would put me off much more than if I was looking at an off-the-shelf brand.

Ultimately I just ordered my own and haven't regretted it. I know if I was to sell it I'd lose a decent chunk, because maybe buyers don't want Delano pups, or a 38mm nut, or an orange finish.. but that's the trade off for being able to personalise it completely.

Just received this couch shot from Adrian overnight. Bassculture pickups and a John East Pre Amp.

Not to put a damper on the excitement of those who are getting couch shots, but I got mine last Tue. Still waiting on shipping info.
My understanding is that he picked up about 50+ instruments on the return trip from Poland the week of 7/16, so it's gonna take some time to process these with photos/videos and shipping out. I know it doesn't make your particular instrument go any faster, but he's got a big backlog to work through.

I know. Doesn't mean it isn't still frustrating.

:woot: Sorry, I understand I'm "preaching to the choir" on this one… says the guy waiting for 8mos :smug:;)

Be patient Grasshopper, we soon will be playing amazing and beautiful instruments
You have probably explained this before, but what is causing your delay? I have had over. 20 basses built and this last one took just over 5 months (the longest it has taken to date for my builds) because my guy wanted a specific preamp that was back ordered. Most are 3.5 - 4.5 months.

For @Barticus (8 mos) and @TK4261 (6mos) it was pickups. For me (5+ mos) it was hipshot tuners, of all things. In general just supply chain issues.

Nordstrand delays. I'll summarize since this was talked about at nausea um earlier…
They fulfill retail orders first and then builders, but did not communicate why the delay or how long it would take to either Adrian or Randy. After much nagging and follow up they finally admitted that builder orders would be 5-6 months back ordered. Had we known earlier, I could have switched to Delanos… but by the time the info was discovered and the Delanos were ordered, the Zen's finally showed up.

Gotcha - I like the Zens blades, Big Singles and the Delano Times Square.
