I received these Wenge knobs yesterday for my Elwood. They are very subtle but I like them and they match the fretboard nicely

Love the single Delano. Is it in bridge position or MM sweet spot? what preamp do you have?

Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to place my first order. I think using a dealer is my best option, just wondering what my options are for someone from around Philadelphia PA.

I don't expect to order in the near future, but have been increasingly intrigued by Maruszczyk's offering lately and would consider one as my retirement gift to myself in a few years. Finding out that there's a local dealer could be useful info as I get closer to picking a date.

Thank you! Yes, I had it put in the sweet spot It has a Noll 3 band pre in it. I really like this Noll preamp with the Delano PU.

@David Sutkin is a TB member in this thread. I think he just recently became a dealer. Or at least I wasn't aware he was a dealer when I ordered thru Randy. Several of us have used Randy.

If I went Maruszcyk it would be headless frog fretless with that setup. although I really don't know anything about preamps.

I'm planning to order a new Paddock from Adrian. However, I need to sell my Jazzus first, which I received just over 6 months ago and is in mint condition. I had a number of extras added to the bass, which means that the total cost of the bass with VAT came to about £2300.

I'm in UK and contacted Bass Direct to find out if they could sell it for me. The recommended price I was given for Bass Direct to commission selling the bass is £1500, giving me approximately £1200 after commission. I was looking at recouping at least £1500-£1600 for the bass to finance the Paddock, so £1200 is a bit low for me.

Has anyone else sold their Maruszczyk bass in UK and if so, what's the best method for resale. I have an account with Reverb, but I would then need to ship the bass myself, so it would need to be UK only. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them.

Basschat classifieds? There's often Maruszczyks listed there, but I'm not sure what sort of amount they'll go for. I believe you need to sign up and pay a fee for listing items, but it is a lot less than £300 commission!

I am afraid resale value for Maruszczyk basses will not be in the buyer's favor, regardless of the country you live in. I ended up selling my Elwood L for about 65% of what I paid for it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll see what I can get for it. Bass Direct in UK suggested £1500, but said that I could try for a bit more. However, Bass Direct's commission of £300 is definitely too much. I can list it on Basschat Classifieds for an annual subscription of £20, which would mean that I would then only need to pay for UK shipping. Reverb will cost a bit more, but I think that I'll definitely be able to get more than the £1200 quoted by Bass Direct.

The thing is when looking at used Maruszczyks, for not too much more you can get Adrian to build exactly what you want. All of the upside of ordering a new one has this downside if you sell.
