Been on the configurator this morning when I should be working...Two reverse P's on a Jake would be my next build...Maybe next year. I haven't seen any double P Maru basses yet.

Love my Paddock. It's about the best fitting single-cut I've strapped-on. The body sculpting on the back creates a very snug fit with strap--the low frets feel very close while the upper frets are still easily reached. The Sputnik looks awesome too. I guess the Paddock is more for those who want a single cut that feels smaller than it looks, similar to a Frog.

I am getting a double P Speesy flying V bass.
The Speesy is not on the configurator.
I am getting 2 DiMarzio P pickups:
- a Dimarzio Relentless Middle DP296 in the bridge position.
- and a DiMarzio Split P blades DP127 in the neck position.
It is also going to have a kick-ass bridge,
And it is going to be tuned BEAD with a 130 B string.
it is going to be a swamp ash body with a birdseye maple top, white ebony fingerboard and 5 piece wenge neck, with a complete neck thru neck.
And it is going to be 35inch scale.

Hey, if anyone here has an Elwood with JJ pickups and 34" scale, could you please measure the distance between 12th fret and the center of both pickups? Center as in, where the pickup poles are, basically.

I think you probably meant cm, not mm, but thanks a lot! Unless your bass is smaller than a ukulele

Received my Jake a few hours ago. I'm not much of a photographer, and the gloss finish is super reflective of any light, but there are shots of it below.

Neck is amazing. Matte finish was definitely the way to go as it makes it so easy to move around the neck.
It is setup super low. Really too low for me. I either need to improve my technique or raise the action, and since I can raise the action way faster than fix the technique I'll be doing that next.
Sounds awesome thru headphones, so I can't wait to try it out thru an amp over the weekend.
This is my first custom bass purchase, and I'm really pleased.

That's a beautiful bass! The tobacco burst finish is so much nicer looking for real than the rendition in the configurator. That's not surprising, of course, but that particular finish is super. Congrats, and have fun!

I like #1 personally, although I might add some contrast. Either a flamed maple or pale moon ebony fingerboard, or white pickup covers.

Agreed, but I'm already into the "blue team" with my Bass Collection. In fact, it's so bluish that I've changed hardware to gold ( originally it was all black hardware ) to get that balance and yet keeping it eye-catching.

BTW: I couldn't find the option for solid colors, using the configurator from Maru website. Does anyone know?
