The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

#1 with the neck from 3. A “non more black” bass is a solid option

The first neck ( or fingerboard, actually ) is flamed roasted maple, but all necks I've selected flamed roasted maple, just the fingerboard are either FRM or Wenge.

I wish the Ebony option, so the bass would be as dark as it gets, but I noticed the warning about cracks, and I felt it could be a big letdown since it's not covered by warranty. Sucks...

I had the same concern before I ordered mine and was all set to order Wenge, but the dealer (Randy) convinced me that it was very low likelihood of a problem with Ebony. Said he sells a bunch of Ebony FB and has almost no issues (if I remember correctly the one issue he had was minor and quickly remedied by a local luthier).

I ordered mine with Ebony and received it yesterday - no issues. YMMV

I got it, but the way they described it was kinda spooky. If you don't mind, throw some pics of your bass for appreciation. Thanks!

I saw the pics, really nice P-Bass style...

How long it took for the shop to get it done?

Ha, well that is a whole other story. 23 weeks for me to receive it, but he ran into supply issues on some parts. A couple of us fell victim to the supply chain and had longer than normal waits (7-8+ months for the other 2 I'm aware of), but I think most are still receiving theirs inside 15 weeks.

I think you probably meant cm, not mm, but thanks a lot! Unless your bass is smaller than a ukulele :D

Thinking of getting this built soon:

Elwood C5, passive
Inca Silver
60’s position for pickups instead of standard 70’s.
Humcancelling Delano alnico pickups
Alder body, maple neck, indian rosewood fingerboard.
Hipshot Vintage steel bridge, Hipshot ultra light tuners

I didn't noticed the Elwood C model until I saw your post here. Glad I did, then

went to the configurator and...

.
BTW: I couldn't find the option for solid colors, using the configurator from Maru website. Does anyone know?

You need to have a alder body / no top selected in the configurator, for solid colors. You'll need to specify in the notes that you would like another type of wood for the body.

Btw: there's no such thing as too many blue basses :D
