The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Hey all, I'm thinkibg about ordering a Frog 5 in 35". What would the neck profile be comparable to?
I think they refer to their standard neck profile as "modern C". My basses (2 4-strings and a 5-string I no longer own) have more p than j necks, not chunky, but definitely also not slim and "fast". It may be possible to discuss the neck profile with Adrian though.
On a 4-string Frog, the standard thickness of the neck at the 1st fret is 21mm front to back. When I ordered mine, I asked for a slender neck, and got one that measures 20mm front to back at the 1st fret. So there is a bit of flexibility there, if you know what you want and what to ask for.

Oh, and by the way, the neck on my bass feels phenomenal! It doesn't hurt that I had them paint the back of the neck in matte green (something they don't normally do), which makes it feel like silk. I paid extra for that, and it was worth every peso. I got a 40mm nut, and 18mm spacing at the bridge, which results in very little noticeable taper. Absolutely wonderful! (For me, anyway.)

Does anyone know if the necks are different widths of the Elwood and Jake 5 strings depending on the string spacing you choose? Is the same neck with different bridge string spacing or is each neck different widths depening on it you order it with 17,18, or 19 mm spacing?

I think the necks are different.

The nut width could be the same, but the rest is not, I believe.

I say this because I had a Sputnik 5 with 16.5mm spacing, 45mm nut, and it looked like this:

I don't think you could fit 5 strings with 19mm spacing on that neck.

Yep. The wait is hard at first but then you kind of forget because it's a long way off. Then the date starts getting nearer and the excitement/ anticipation starts kicking in. My bass that I ordered in June is due for completion in about 10 days. I don't know if it'll actually be done or ready to ship then. But man, am I starting to feel the "I'm so excited! I just can't hide it!" Vibe.
Have you heard anything on your bass? My “due date” is this coming week and I’m wondering how long it will end up being.

I had a fairly long conversation with Randy from the Bass Showcase the other day. Super helpful guy and he got a few of my more detailed questions answered the same day.
On the other hand, to do what I want may require this to be a custom build
