I was told on the 15th of August that all the parts (everything) for my bass had finally arrived and assembly would begin.
I am guessing an approximate build time of 15 weeks.
Then shipping down under to Australia.
So, if I am lucky I will get my bass for Christmas.

Oh the waiting. Trying to be patient.
I am, I am.
I know that the waiting will be worth it, 100%.
But the waiting now that I know that the process is under way . . . . . I think I can, I think I can.
Christmas is not that far away, right ? ?

Yep. The wait is hard at first but then you kind of forget because it's a long way off. Then the date starts getting nearer and the excitement/ anticipation starts kicking in. My bass that I ordered in June is due for completion in about 10 days. I don't know if it'll actually be done or ready to ship then. But man, am I starting to feel the "I'm so excited! I just can't hide it!" Vibe.

What is the latest time in a build that someone has asked Adrian to change something significant in your custom build, and Adrian has allowed it ? ?

I haven't ordered a custom, but how significant are you talking and how far are you into your wait?

I am 4 weeks into the build process . . . . .
and I am considering adding a 3rd pickup if I was allowed.

What pickups are you having installed? I see that you were told on August 15th that all the parts had arrived, so if an extra pickup has to be ordered, it would likely delay your build. If you're alright with that, you should probably contact Adrian sooner rather than later to find out if it could be done.

I have already emailed Adrian about 5hrs ago.
So we will see what he says.
if it pushed the build back, but Adrian said yes,
I would definitely be ok with that.

Not quite the same thing, but I got my couch shot and saw it had the wrong pickup. It was fixed immediately.

Adrian has decided . . . . .
Adrian & I exchanged 6 emails today.
I decided to change from parallel wiring to series wiring (approved).
But, it was to late to change anything else.

And I am not sad at all.
Adrian explained his decisions..
We had a good conversation.
it is all good.

Yes fretless, but not fanned. Yeah I’m excited to finish this one, for the SBO.
I’m not a fanned fret fan it’s too difficult to play chords above 12.
