Nice! I would say, Go with the Elwood L and request Hipshot Lolipop tuners. Even though they are not in the configurator for the L they will fit just fine and look nice

Here ya go, Another TB'er has this one now..My Curent Elwood L is the one below it and it has Hipshot Mini Clovers on it. Both are 30" short scale

Here is my current 30" Maruszczyk stable....I think all the boxes are ticked with all the different sounds options that I can get out of them all. I should be good for for a while per my Wife

Thank you! the Mr. Tee had the offered Bassculture single coil Musicmaster/Bronco sized pickup but it was a bit weak sounding to my taste for a passive setup. I just replaced it with a Mcnelly double pole single coil Bronco sized pickup and it has a much bigger sound now. I modded the cover with my dremel to expose the pole pieces.

Just to let our "club" know that I am going to be posting a Maruszczyk 5 string (JAKE) 35" scale P/J with Nordstrands and wanted to alert our inner circle first. I am asking $1650 delivered in CONUS... I own 5 other Maruszczyks and have a new custom order ready in the next month...need to liquidate to help finance my new bass purchase. (a shade over 8 pounds)...birds-eye maple neck and board, 4 band Audere and T-I flats,

Cool! One of my favorite P pickups is the Nordstrand NP4A pickups. I have one in my 30" Jake and I really really like it.

Does anyone have a Jake 55? I am curious as to how the neck profile is in relation to the Squier version of the SCPB.

Looks awesome. How heavy is it? Is the body as big as an Epi Jack Casady?

The body was actually a little smaller than I thought. Still a full size, but not as big as a standard P-Bass body. the lower bout feels slightly narrower than my Peavey milestone international p-bass. I'm not familiar with the Jack Casady model - sorry.

Total weight is 8.5 lbs, which is wonderful compared to my 10 lb D'Angelico. That's with all the extra light features though: Alder body, aluminum hipshot bridge, ultra-lite hipshot tuners, etc.

Just putting this here as a random reference for everyone with a Joker B…

If you're looking for a hardshell case for it, the Gator Deluxe ABS Bass Guitar Case ( Bass Guitar Case-GC-BASS - Gator Cases ), fits well!

The sides fit nice and snug (in a good way) and there's about 1" of play fore/aft. The bass does not slide easily across this 1" of play, it's just there if you need it.

Fyi, my bass is a 32" scale and it looks like a 33" and 34" would also fit fine. However, I don't think a 30" scale would fit since there's a rigid channel between the headstock bay and the body bay that would prevent it from sitting flat in the case.

Silly question: The 3-way pickup switches on my Frog(i have Delano XTenders), in the user manual they're labeled as "Serial, single coil, parallel." With the bass in playing position, is that Series down/Parallel up, or Series up/Parallel down?

On my Elwood 5L it's Parallel Up, Single Middle, Series Down. I've noticed other contemporary passive basses tend to follow the same pattern. Generally series is going to sound significantly fatter and louder than parallel. Parallel is usually marginally louder than single, and is hum-free.
