Besides the quality and playability,being a lefty and having all the options is wonderful.
They both look classy for me! I‘d take the Pearl one for show gigs and the tort for blues gigs!
I sent them some pictures of bases with similar finishes. I called it butterscotch burst and believe that they are using orange and brown mixtures. They will do custom colors for you they don't have to be on the color palette
Just wondering how many on here are waiting for a custom bass and when did you order it. I ordered mine 23rd May so a bit to go yet.
Even people with the wildest, most exotic and radical requests usually don't have to wait longer than 4 months.
I ordered a custom Frog on February 5th.
From ordering it to receiving it will be just shy of 16 weeks. Ordered end of February and it's in shipment on its way to me now.
Guys, I've got a serious problem I need your help with.
I am fanaticizing about a fretless Maruszczyk despite the fact I am waiting on my second fretted Frog. But I've been playing my first Frog so much and it is so dreamy and then I am realizing my fretless isn't very versatile and thinking about selling it. That's the context so you understand the urgency of the matter.
My question though is, I'm loving the look of some of the more unusual woods in the configurator. BUT I've only ever had ebony fingerboards. What other woods that Maruszczyk offers work well for the beloved mwaaahhh of a fretless with roundwounds?

I ordered one on March 1st. Have not heard back beyond some initial Q&As.
I found that it is easiest and will save you money to go through RANDY RILEY, (BASS SPOTLIGHT). He is located in Chicago and is a registered dealer for them. He can expedite responses, advise you on what is possible and he can get you a discounted price. He gets a dealer's price and passes on some of the savings to you. My last 3 purchases went through him and I have found that I saved between $400-600 from the price on the configurator.

Messing with the configurator this evening 
Hey guys! I am thinking of getting a Jake and throwing a vintage P pup on it, and I want to have it setup with low action such that I get no buzzing when playing normally, but that nice sort of "pop" when digging in on high octaves for example.
I have noticed that in the demo videos, there is almost always a decent amount of fret buzz happening. What is going on here, is it the player (please note that I think he is fantastic), or do most clients want that kind of buzzing? It makes me a bit worried about being able to achieve the sound I described above, without having constant fret buzz during normal playing.
