I think you are right. It's been 16 weeks since I ordered so in to week 17. I check their Facebook page every day. Patience is a virtue.They must have a lot of orders in queue
my "new" Elwood from 2010 , superb bass! Fender custom shop 60's pups. 60's neck , plays like a dream!!
Ok so I bought this bass off someone on talkbass.com February 2021(no fault to the previous owner). Soon after I bought it my dad passed away and sat in my closet it the case it came in for a few months. I finally took it somewhere to get looked at.The guy and someone else said the neck was warped. Idk what to do at this point. If I were to sell it as is how much could I sell it for. I bought it for $1900.

Have you contacted Adrian to see if you can get a replacement neck?
A lot depends on what exactly they meant by "warped" and how much it actually is warped. I have a bass that had a bit of a warp in the neck, but was able to be made playable with a PLEK job. It involved taking some of the high frets down to almost nothing, but it worked.
If the neck actually is warped, and beyond the point of easy repair, I'd do exactly what @Barticus suggested -- contact Adrian and see what it would take to get a replacement neck. He'd probably want to know what happened to the bass and see some really good pictures pictures of the neck, of course.
In what way/direction is the neck "warped?" Did they mean twisted?
Given that the truss rod adjustment on these basses is the reverse of what one expects (reversible mistakes may have been made at some point, or by the guys who looked at and assessed it), and not seeing evidence in the photo, I'd say more research is needed.

I had a very good tech look at mine before I knew the truss was backward (or dual action and backward?) and he said it was bunged. I emailed Adrian and he said it was backward, I adjusted, and low and behold there was nothing wrong with it. Fwiw, the tech thought it was warped and the truss rod couldn't pull enough relief out of it
Hi. Is this the right place for Mensinger bass owners/ afficionados? I just bought one online and was hoping to hear opinions on this bass. Its a 2010 Cazpar 4 with dual pickups. I have seen some more recent ones with single pickup. This one is passive short-scale and very attractive. Can't wait to receive it transatlantic from Britain.
Super nice! I think all of the Cazpar are nice, but with the extra neck pickup that should give you more options. I've come to the conclusion many Maru related basses tend to sound more modern than vintage, which might have thrown me a little at first, but I've come to appreciate the extra clarity. I marvel over the build quality of my Maru every time I play it, so hopefully you feel the same!

They basically just look white when not glowing. Here are 3 of my Maru's with 3mm Luminlay on 3 different fretboards. The dots on the flamed maple fretboard are 3mm including the Black ring so I think the actual luminous material is 2 - 2.5mm.

thats a great point about the modern sound. It's sort of in the ballpark for what I wanted as I was also looking at warwicks and spectors.

Thank you! I'm only selling it to fund another Marusczcyk build I have in the works.
They were all installed by Maruszczyk. I get them on all my custom orders. Its a 33 Euro option when you place an order through Maruszczyk.
I have installed them on other project basses though. Years ago I came across this Youtube tutorial video on how to install Luminlay side dots with just a pen/hand drill....Not hard at all

I had my Frog made with Luminlay fret markers, 4mm side dots, and knobs. It's all very cool... but I found that the Luminlay side dots didn't give me enough visual reference after the glow faded. I ended up using fishing lure stickers, a very successful trick I have used on several other basses. But I couldn't stand the thought of obscuring the cool looking (and expensive) dots, so I punched holes in the stickers so the Luminlay dots would be visible. Now it's impossible for me to get lost due to not seeing my neck on a dark stage, like it is with any of my basses with fishing lure sticker fret markers, but holes make it look like a bunch of little fisheyes looking up at me when I'm playing.
