The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

So now I’m thinking of a joker 6 fretless 30”. Wondering those that have one is there neck dive on the hollow body. How is it compared to a Cazpar? The Cazpar just feel like home. Nothing worse than paying big bucks for a bass that just isn’t the one.
Those with a fretless what electronics did you go with?
Thanks

I bought it on a whim because I was curious about these basses never heard of them. The color was not what I was into but picked it up for 9 ish. I’ve Had it for some time now. Once I learned how to play the 30” scale I can’t go back.
Man, I just realized you don’t have a 32” headless 5. Luckily there’s one in the classifieds that would look stunning next to those other Cazpar’s 🤣😀🤪😎

Hey fretless guys what electronics and pick up did you end up going with.

I have Delano SBC HE-S pickups with series/single coil/parallel switches with the Lusithand Double NFP preamp on my fretless Jake 5. I think it sounds great. Lusithand recently came out with a mk2 of their NFP preamps with a different frequency range (new version tops out at 2.5KHz while the old version tops out at 4KHz) and a treble boost (aka "pick attack") that seems pretty useful.

I have a passive Frog 5 fretless with a single Bassculture 38hb in the bridge and a mini switch (humbucker / single coil). I like the simplicity and dig the tones.
I do love the simplicity of a passive bass my Cazpar 6 is a passive as well with the mini switch and its sound great. Not a fan of batteries I always forget to unplug my bass but was wondering I might get more out of the fretless with active pu
