The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

FROG 4A Beta - UPDATE

So, last night I took my Frog to a band rehearsal .... a heavy alternative rock trio type of thing .... Up until last night I had only been playing the Frog at home through a small Hartke practice amp and since I live on the top floor of an apartment building with hardwood floors, obviously I can't play loud AT ALL without pissing off the people who live below me or next to me.

I normally bring a Fender J bass or a Music Man Stingray to rehearsal but last night I threw a new set of punchy rounds on her and brought her along ..... At the rehearsal spot I play through a Mesa Boogie Subway D800+ head and Mesa 6X10 cab .... and we play LOUD ....

Prior to last night, I have to admit I wasn't too impressed with the sound of my Frog, I know nobody wants to hear that here, and it's just my opinion but still .... Anyway ..... when I plugged the Frog in last night and got to really turn up the volume and tweak the amp head's tone .... I WAS COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by how great this bass sounds .... The PreAmp is almost dangerous as I felt like I was doing structural damage to the buildings foundation that we were rehearsing in, especially in drop D tuning.

I found the Frog with a fresh set of rounds sounds very similar to my Warwick Corvette only DEEPER and FULLER lows ... I have a new found respect for this bass and she'll definitely be getting more time in the rotation moving forward.

Hello,

I have a Elwood C 5-string on order. Its a 33 inch strung E-C and it will be finished around December I hope. I payed the deposit and Adrian answered that he received it and after that I didn't here anything anymore. Feels a little bit uncomfortable but I'm sure it will turn out right. I wanna be a member of this club!!

I'm in a similar boat but ordered mine through Sylvain, who is the USA dealer. I received word that my bass is done and shipping today. They did a presentation video with it and that should be posted soon.

Eh...what do you mean it didn't sound that great at home :D

That's the most intense pickup combination there is, the MM pup is brutal!

My streamer Jazzman is way more thunderous than my SS1 or SS2, it has the same pup configuration and IMHO that's the most versatile combination out there.

I have Delano + Glock pre on my Elweed 4a, so I'm not in the least surprised that your bass crushes it through a proper rig! :)

Morning to you guys ,

technical question : am I allowed to post Maruszczyk stuff available through my store on this thread?
or commercial users need a thread of their own?

i'm not too often on Talkbass and just drop in here and there if i can help , not aware of rules.

cheers

My bass showed up a day early. I got it yesterday...played it last night at the jazz jam. It’s freaking awesome. I have had some terrific basses, but this one has earned its place and is exactly how I wanted it. I’ll post pics later!

Great to hear! :)

I am so impatient waiting for my second build, 15 weeks are over...Impatience is a stupid thing :D
