No idea how feasible that is, but maybe ask Adrian if they could make a bolt-on Frog for you? According to a post here he said that they can't make a 30'' Frog due to the set-in neck, if they milled an Elwood/Jake neck pocket into the body that could work. I would expect to pay a hefty premium for something like that, but hey it's worth asking. You'd probably be stuck with a 22-fret neck (I think that's the only option they offer on 30'' scale Jakes/Elwoods) but I don't see why they couldn't make that kind of neck without a headstock and with the headless system thingy installed.

Hi Guys....
Firstly, thanks to all of you who conveyed good wishes......
So, a week since my op and there's good news and bad news....
The good news is that the damage to my rotator cuff and bicep is much less than they thought that it would be judging by the MRI scan.....
The bad news is that most of the pain is being caused by arthritis which they didn't pick up on the MRI....
It's early days yet but the doc is of the opinion that I may have played my last bum note.....
Physiotherapy begins this coming Monday and I've been told to bring a bass with me so that the therapist can try to figure a way to get me playing again without too much pain.....
Fingers very firmly crossed that all works out ok.....(Especially as I have an Elwood on order!).....
Hope that all of you guys with gigs this weekend knock it out of the ballpark....

Hope it all works out. PT can be brutal. I've been though some of that and my daughter is a practicing PT. Do what they say and all should be good.

Yeah I am not sure that all Sandberg Bases are heavy as a rule and generalising seems rather naive to me. I have an 7.9 pound Sandberg TM2, so like any bass or guitar, weight can and does vary massively.
Absolutely. I do not own a Sandberg, but have played a few in music stores and there are many lightweight ones. Same with Maruszczyk. Just take a look at their inventory, they always mention the weight on the website.

Sandberg has a chambered body option. I tried one at NAMM a few years back and really liked it. However, I went with Marusczyck because I like the look of the design, weight, and pricing better. I'm waiting on mine now to be sent back to the factory where they are going to refinish the neck in satin/matte, which is how I ordered it...it's a bit nerve racking as the bass looks great in the pics I was sent...and the additional wait time is even harder now.

Yeah, and fingers crossed. Refinishes can be done, but sometimes it doesn't turn out as good as the original. I'm a bit concerned but not much I can do at this point.
