Sadly I'm not really in the position to buy any more basses right now, but that maruszczyk configurator is so much fun! This would be a medium scale 4-string frog, which I'd love to have.

The color the fancy tops options really makes a huge color palette for these basses. I don't see the headless option in the visualizer though, be nice to actually see what those look like
They look like a normal Frog, only they have a different bridge system and different strap lock layout (double feature):
Apparently my new bass is supposed to be featured on the YouTube page...I guess that means it came out pretty great!
that's pretty much the way mine came out, with a different top wood though.....but I want a short scale and they don't make a short scale Frog......
Most likely, they will. Just go ahead and ask Adrian or your representative. Not all features have been added in the configurator yet, more will be added over time. Plus they will make a new, separate implementation for the headless Frog, but this will have to wait until next year.

Ah, that's what I was wondering, the headless will be a 'separate configurator', it's def easier when you can see the visual combo. Well now I'll have decide 'headed' now, or wait and decide, or maybe I'll frankenstein some old photos from the website and see what I like. I wonder if the headless would have smaller leather gig bags / cases made

Look back a couple of pages in this thread. I think someone already asked Adrian for a short scale Frog before and ended up with a Cazpar.
I think I remember something along the lines of the headless frog models fitting in a standard guitar gigbag, not sure if they are shipped in one, although it would make sense.
Mine was shipped in the gigbag. And yes, the bass (medium scale!) is shorter than a strat.
I have a Hellwood 5a with the Haeussels singles and Delano 2 band... bass sounds wickedly good.... my first bass with single coils and I tell you, it's nice.
I play through a D800 and aggie db 112's and passive is very warm.... push in the active knob and it sharpens the tone up quite a bit....
you can also get it in 17mm spacing with choosing your bridge option.... I have 17mm and it's a really great playing bass for the cash....
also to answer other questions floating in this thread....
I think Adrian charged me 100 to ship.... I bought from the public peace site on an in stock item.
FedEx whacked me 65 I believe for the customs fee.... total price after tax and fees was around 1300...

If the headstock is the deal breaker, it can be changed.... Otherwise, how about a medium scale Frog?
So as it turns out they made a mistake. I ordered a matte (satin) finish on the back of the neck and they made it glossy. They are sending it back to the luthier to be corrected. I'm a bit nervous and disappointed as these things (refinishing) never seem as good as the original finish.
I would believe that the quality should be the same with the original and "re"-finish, as it's the same team that makes it...and I do think that they, especially Adrian, puts customer satisfaction on top of it all, so just wait and see
I'd ask for a discount and take a Scotch-brite to the neck. I'm not patient enough to send it back.
So .... the only thing holding me back from placing an order for a new Elwood would be the fear that I'd get a better sound (punchier, deeper, fatter) buying a Sandberg California with the same Delano pup configuration.
