I've done some searching, but can't find an image answering my question. I see the Frog has an optional 32-inch scale length. Does Maruszczyk move the bridge closer to the neck on this model, or only move the nut closer to the body? Or, is there a smaller body on the 32-inch Frog? I'm speaking of the non-headless (headful?) Frog.

It seems to me that a shorter scale always means that the frets are also closer to each other and I think they make a slight shorter body too so that the ratio is even.

i remember asking him for a customer order , he said (plz double check though as its been a while) , the body for a J is shorter and pickup spacing is changed too to make it work.

maybe same for frog

Hm, I recall having read that Maruszczyk doesn't offer the Frog model in short(er) scale...I don't know if that was also for medium scale or only for actual short scale.

I believe it is because it is their very own design and measurements, which they have defined as a standard. I recall reading some occasion in different threads where people longed for a short scale Frog because of health issues but it's said Maruszczyk wouldn't do that.

possible man... no idea :) i haven't had request for shorter scale frog so i wouldn't know... but its possible that it just doesn't work when you shrink it down.

According to the configurator thingy, they do a 32" version of the Frog....

If you want a short-scale Frog, consider the Mensinger Cazpar. It's very similar in shape and made in the same shop as the Maruszczyk basses. It will likely be my next short-scale bass.

Yes they do make a 32" medium scale Frog Bass. I talked Adrian he said not possible to make a 30" Frog. He recommended a Cazpar . So i took my chance. Got my self a great little 6.3 lb Caspar with JokerB head stock. I didn't like the head stock on Caspar. Very pleased with this little bad Boy. It's a bad ass bass. Just like the other Elwood he has build. I would still like to see i Frog in 30" scale. Hopefully one day he will be able to make them 30" scale frog. Me so happy with this Caspar. Sounds awesome. Hope this helps out my 30" scale, crew.

I'm going through the same thing .... Which to string E-C and which to string B-G ..... the answer will inevitably which will sound the best BUT you also have to take into question the fact that you may have to change the nut on one or both of those basses to even allow you to try going from B-G to E-C
