The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Thanks for the help guys. I'm still mulling over a few options. Does anyone know if the Elwood L style pickguard (no control plate) is available on the regular Elwood? I'd like to do a swamp ash body which doesn't seem to be available on the L but I do like how the body looks without the control plate, very clean and modern.

They do what ever you want.

I ordered a fretless directly with Adrian, no control plate, access from behind, the rosewood fingerboard will have dark fret lines and side dots. None of this things are in the configurator. The configurator is just a template, it is a custom order, you can do whatever you want. Some things you pay extra, others you don't.

Anyone used fretspot to do an order? Is there any advantage/disadvantage to going through a dealer instead of direct?
I ordered mine through Sylvain Bonfardin. He is the USA dealer. Fretspot is in Canada, I believe. If you go to Maruszczyk Instruments USA page on Facebook and send him a message that’s how I did it. Everything turned out fine. We hashed out all details and pricing before I sent him my money. I sent 1/2 up front and paid the other 1/2 when it was done. Took about 4-5 months...the fastest handmade custom bass I’ve ever had and the best price. A little weird dealing via Facebook but it worked out okay so I can safely say it’s legit.

I think you can get whatever wood you want. My Elwood L is alder with an ash top...that’s how I wanted it.

Fretspot is in Missouri. Donovan sent me a pic of my almost done bass today.

Here's the 'couch shot' of my Jake. They need to switch out the P pickup for the large pole piece Haeusel I ordered, then good to go.

Can't wait :hyper:

Adrian said they had delays with a hardware supplier... They got the parts now so I hope mine is done really soon!
