Oh yeah. To clarify, in my case, I am very happy with Glenn's side of things. It's just that I am also experiencing 'wait-related frustration', but yes, in my case at least, it sure ain't Glenn's fault.

I too have dealt with Glenn, and I can tell you, he works very hard for his clients in their effort to get the axe they want and as quickly as he can. Fortuantely or unfortuately, we deisre instruments that are being made by one of the top luthiers in the world and the demands on him are probably beyond what any of us can appreciate. He can't afford to screw up any of the instruments he makes, yet we as consumers can't think of much else other than opening the case for the first time, and playing this instrument that was made just for us. There is a built in conflict, but we all can attest that it's worth the wait. Neptoon, take a deep breath, clear your head of all of the negative thoughts, and wait for the UPS driver. You won't be disappointed.

yeah, not really sure what happened...i called on a whim, asked about it and was told he's got a line on one that would be done 'in a month or so' ...i scrambled to get the fundage together, paid it off and now i've waited 7 months...i know that mike lost a lot of equipment back in october and then later i found out that the JJ basses weren't part of regular production and were being worked on a 'when time permits' basis...maybe it was more in part that mike taking a loss with his equipment put him about 18 months behind, and that was straight out of mike t.'s mouth...i know his is about as busy a shop as there is in the business, and mike and glenn are both stand up guys...to glenn's credit, every time i asked him a question, he responded quickly and to the best of his knowledge...i tell ya what, though, when i get the bass in hand, none of it's going to matter...most people wait 6-12 months for mike's basses, so i guess i've waited about a pretty average length of time...i believe my temper on this has been more a product of my impatience than anyone's inaction or whatnot...waiting is frustrating, especially when you're doing a lot more than what you thought you were going to do, but it will be worth it, i'm sure... :D

I know it will be worth my wiat I have never played on a custom bass are high equality bass before, the Lord just bless me to be able get this one.

hey, me too! well, i haven't gotten my tracking # yet, but he said he shipped it...i didn't get the pic of mike holding it or the nickel strings on it, but glenn included a set and told me (personal phone call) that this JJ5 is _exceptional_...i'm cool with that! not sure when i'm getting it, but i'll most certainly get some pics!

I'd say......hold on a little while longer.......from the sound of it you're getting something really special that may not be around for long.........

Call fedex 1-800 # they will help since its not on the truck for today you may be able to pick it up. I miss my shipment and call them and they came back when my wife came home.
