The Official MTD USA Thread

Somebody else needs to post up some nice shots of their MTDs. I figure I've probably overdone it as it is, so it's someone else's turn... make sure to include some nice close-ups too! :)

(this means put the camera in "macro" mode... the little flower icon on most cameras). :)

No problem.... :)

This is *was* my 535 that I sold about 3 years ago. It is serial# 672. It is pretty much a Norm Stockton model in terms of the specs. That photo was taken with my first 435 before I aquired my other four 435's.

I dearly miss it and I would love to see it now or get in touch with whoever the current owner is. I would seriously want to buy it back.

Right now there's very little, partially because I can't crank the amp here. That will have to wait for Saturday. Also, I have to drop the action of the ash-necked one on the left back to its original height for a proper comparison -- our bassist digs in and raised it slightly, I prefer the original low action. Meanwhile, we have hurricane conditions here so I may be stroking one of them in a hotel through headphones the next couple of days.

^ Man, those things are so cool. I still want to get my hands on one.

FYI/FWIW, my local store has two amazing instruments. I can brag about the first one since I used to own it. :D

I'd never heard of makore, but holy cow, this bass is ridiculous. Tons and tons of sizzle, but it's backed by gobs of warmth and fatness. Absolutely amazing bass. Fortunately this one isn't a sixer...I'd be selling my walnut 635 and a few body organs to get it.
