Any particular reason why it’s taking so long? I know there’s a back up on hardware from hipshot. I was trying to order a headless and that could be a long time out.

Commissioned in August. Sales order says January 31st. I added a 12th-fret inlay in October. Last I heard from Michael a few weeks ago was that the neck had just gotten to the inlayer and I needed to approve the rendering...Over two months after the whole thing was supposed to be done. Last Wednesday I sent Daniel this email:

I know my neck is still at the inlayer, but if you have anything at the shop that you can send me a quick phone pic of I'd be thrilled. Stuck in lockdown and anything would be a nice boost. If not, don't worry about it! Hope you guys are healthy and safe.

I have not received a response to that email.

Before that, my last request for an update was December, so I know I'm not being pushy or annoying.

Seems very unlike them. I have been in touch with the shop the last few weeks and Mike emails back usually within a day. Maybe the email got caught up in a spam filter? I’ve never had any inlay work done. I’m sure it will come out awesome when it’s all done.

Yeah, I'm a little stumped myself. I'm fine for now but if I don't have it by the end of June I'm going to get a little cranky.

No, and I'm not sure how I/we would be expected to know that.

You can never be sure with emails when one might have simply slipped through the cracks. Just write to Mike/Daniel again.

it's a small shop, make sure you're also trying the phone and leaving a message.

Absolutely. I would just prefer to be notified of delays rather than having to ask.

Also from last night, they've been shut down for five weeks, which was news to me. Given the setup and the shop being in Michael's front yard, I incorrectly assumed he/someone would still be working. And as mentioned above, there is something going on with Daniel but I won't go into details.

Yeah here in NJ/NY we have been shut down 5 going on 6 weeks now. Only things open really are restaurants for takeout only and hospitals.

Hey I own a MTD Kingston KZ5 and I switched the battery out today and now the active passive switch is messed up. I only get output when the switch is set to passive do you have any idea what the issue might be?

It sound like the new battery you put in is bad. Do you have another to test with? Or possibly a wire to the battery harness came loose

Just picked up this H34D5 yesterday. This is my 7th US MTD and definitely the most unique.

This is number 3 of this model. Super easy to play and understated yet beautiful as you would expect. Can’t wait to gig it when things get back to normal.
