This is what I've got with my 535, too, and how I've modded both 635s I've owned. The short answer is: the normal treble position knob gets in my way. It can be a long explanation that's really much easier just to see the reasoning for in videos, but due to the way I double and quad thumb/pluck, and some of the flamenco rasgueado stuff I do, knobs in front of the rear pickup just get in my way. I developed a lot of those techniques playing a Warwick Streamer Stage II, which has a 4 knob diamond shape config that's pretty far back, and although I've tried to modify the way I do things now, it seems like those patterns are pretty well set for me and I need a little extra space between end of neck and beginning of knobs. But I don't want to give up that space in fret real estate and go to 21 frets, so I like to have the knobs tucked back. In this config, the normal treble hole is not drilled, treble knob moves to where the mid normally is, and mid gets stacked on top of bass in the bass' normal spot. No other changes there.@SeanOnBass Why the four knob configuration?
Great looking top on that!I just added this 434 to my collection today. My first US MTD and I'm blown away from the craftsmanship in the little time I've had it.

Both Single by default, laminated by request (and surcharge). Lams are 5 piece.Question - are the MTD necks one piece, or multilam?
I miss the TB ability to edit threads. I detest re-reading my posts and discovering spelling or grammar errors.Whoops, my emoji didn't post and now it looks like my grammar is lousy. Insert a mental period after both!

No. I noticed the feature changed quite awhile ago. Now, you can edit posts up to 30 minutes afterward. It used to be months. When did they get rid of that? This week?
