The Official MTD USA Thread

Finally I have a chance to try the super electronic..
It's the first time I found myself comfortable on series pickup.. normally I hate them as lost of mid will be gone..but this one have my love over than the parallel.

It's big, clean, define and have the meat inside.
Yum..
You might have series and parallel confused. The hallmark of series wiring is increased output in the lower mid and middle mid-range frequencies, diminished upper treble response. Parallel has roughly the same output as single but with an extended high end and a far less mid-focused sound than series. But cool that you found something you like!

That IS gorgeous! I had a 635-24 with similar specs and it was the sweetest sounding bass. I love the look of the updated bridge with that config. Really nice.

Congratulations.

Congrats on that beautiful bass. Stunning choice of woods. Is that an ash neck with titanium rods to pair with the maple fingerboard? That walnut grain radiating out from the bridge is really a work of art.

Yes, Ash/Ash on the spec sheet. No titanium rod. I forgot to add that in my post and now I cannot edit my own freaking post! Stoooopid TB.

Hooley dooley that’s a stunner, congrats! I have 2 635’s that I absolutely love to bits but I think the Walnut/Ash + Ash/Birdseye combo in the 635 format is my all time favourite MTD aesthetic. Soooo jelly over here right now! :cautious:

To put things into perspective....now let's all have a good chuckle! The bass comes right to my shoulders!

BTW, this bass comes in at 10.6 lbs on my scale.
show us a pic of you with it strapped on. i think that'll even be funnier. :)
