The Official MTD USA Thread

I have heard this as well, but he does do really good work, so I suppose that's why he gets away with it

I am also amused that we went from discussing electronics and pickups to knobs, which are even easier to change than strings  Straplocks should be next on the TB timeline ;)

FWIW… I think I may have tried to order ebony knobs from that guy once. He said 4-6 weeks. In 8, they still weren’t started. He did easily refund my money.

wow, all this spirited talk about the basic knobs... personally, i think it's perfect he puts the most basic knobs on the bass if you don't care, and offers wood knobs if you do. not seeing a problem here, and i don't think it's a price issue or relevance to the instrument quality level at all.

That’s NOT what she said…

Anyone here have a fretless Super 5 or 6?

Anyone in the California Central Valley with any 5 string MTD that would be willing to let a nice TB member check out their axe? A couple years ago I had wanted to drive down to Bass San Diego to at least get my hands on one and see what’s what, but things just didn’t pan out.

Hellow Fellas and owners ("apriciaters" :D) of MTD made by Michael.

I'm starting this thread to show some of the beatiful instruments that Tobias has given to us.

Function of the thread:
So... show here your beauties, help other solve problems, questions related to the MTD world, post your GAS list, the MTD that is (in your opinion) the most breathtaking of all...

MTD Club
and also with this thread we start the OFFICIAL MTD Club on Talkbass.com.
(email / PM and request the membership)

Here's mine: serial #188 korina / wenge ; 1997 ; 5 string

That's a very rare bass. Just order one, you'll love it. ;)
