I wonder why the wooden truss cover shown on the C6 in this pic:


….was replaced by a plastic cover, more typical for a Basic in this pic?

The wooden truss-rod covers are pretty easy to crack in-half, by tightening the screws too much. (Either wood or plastic.) Maybe it has been put aside to be repaired...

It's been swapped to the other bass.

He had a Bergantino in there when I went. He recommended. Super clean, yet warm, he said.

I was there in January and noticed the amp but can't say for sure what it was. Bergantino does ring a bell though. Years ago he was using Tecamp in the shop.

Oh, that looks nice! Is that a maple top? Do you have other pictures in more natural lighting?

Amp is made by Jad Freer. Small builder from Italy. It’s called the Sisma. Here is a pic of the MTD in better lighting. And yes, NY crotch maple top.

It really is. Ash/ash body and neck, Walnut top with matching headstock, Birdseye Maple fretboard.
Eventually I'll get matching knobs just to finish the look, somebody on this thread has one similar to mine with matching knobs and I like that look.
For now I need an mtd molded case to protect this thing, if anyone has a lead on one I'll appreciate it

I think your bass looks perfectly fine with those knobs.
