Thanks. I just got her this week. It's a bit different than the Valenti, which has been my main player for 2 years now, but it's such a great bass. The 35" is a little different but the biggest difference is the narrow string spacing. the Valenti is 19mm at the bridge. The Cirrus is 17mm. It's going to take some time but I'll get the hang of it. Slapping is the biggest hurdle right now.

hi, I personally find 17mm to be the best spacing on a 4 strings especially for fast slapping and fingerstyle. The big advantage from my point of view is that with tighter spacing your fingers are more in touch with the strings and you can slap really fast. But you have to learn to play light. Get used to it and you'll love it...well, I do ;) :bassist:

Matt - cool strap!

But seriously, what's there to be ashamed of? You play the bass, right?

haha thanks, found it cheaply for like $10 at walmart, and it feels really confortable actually.
Better than my leather one with spikes that rubs against my neck, it's horrible lol.

Not so much ashamed, it is like, I am running the lowest quality gear and everyone here is running with top of the line lol.

Don't be ashamed dude! My gear is pretty cheap by the standards here, but it's the best I could afford (and almost broke the bank of the Evil Undead, yeah)

Be proud, it's yours and if you love it then that's all that matters

So the family's out of town and I'm bored, so............

L-R

Fender Bullet USA 82-83?
Squier Bullet Korean mid 80's
Corvette Standard Active '06
NS2000Q/5 ?
NS2004 NT ?

I have had an urge lately to acquire another Squier for no particular reason.

Here are some updated pictures of the family, and some solo shots. I love posting my basses, I have worked very hard to get to where I am gear wise.

I might be getting into a VERY well paying band in the coming weeks, so Im hoping to save for a Jazz of some kind. I miss slapping and bright finger tone, but my P feels and sounds too darn good to change! :D

what happened to the VM Squier?

Well hopefully you can land a MM Jazz or a CIJ or MIA Jazz Bass in the future .. Who knows maybe even a Sadowsky?
