+1! It's a sleeper. Maybe not eye catching to everyone, but it looks tight - machine-like.
Interesting. Did you have it made for yourself by the Gibson shop or was this acquired 3rd-hand?

2. Squier Matt Freeman signature Precision Bass (curtis novak pickup, cts/orange drop, chromes)
3. G&L Tribute 1st Gen L-2500 (Carvin strings light)
4. Michael Kelly ABG 1st Gen Firefly, defretted, tuned EADGC with Rotosound Tapewounds (need C string)

The pickups are wired strat style to a P-Retro preamp. The P-Retro is very flexible. I had it with the single split coil P pickup and it was pretty cool. the pickups give me a nice tonal pallet. Great for any P-Bass.

Awesome bass! I bought it when they first came out! I recently gave it some much needed TLC, new pots, rosewood knobs, polished frets, etc. And as you see, I was into amber finish!

Right after the Braveheart motion picture, I served my call of duty in italian aeroforce riflemen, were Wallace stood as my lifetime "battle" nick, my longtime attendant aptly renamed himself "Hamish" for same reasons (I'm serious)
