That is one sweet bass.
Gorgeous top! You could go swimming in that quilt!
I like those. Of the several Mustang iterations available now, those seem the most period correct. All three my Squier Mustangs.
The white one is ready: Nordstrand pu, new wiring and electronics, mint pick guard and LaBella flats.
The other two are up for some modding:
The sunburst one with also a Nordstrand pu, new wiring and electronics, aged perloid pick guard and DR Hi-beams round wounds.
The green one I will probably paint Dakota red, put in a gold foil pu, new wiring and an aged perloid pick guard. I'm not sure about strings yet.
I'm contemplating exchanging the necks of the green and sunburst one.
Feel free to make suggestions

That's lovely. I could play that because apparently I play with my right pinky out all gentlemanly and that's a pretty gentlemanly bass. It's nice.
What are those guys on either side of the Mustang on the floor? Finally took a family photo. View attachment 5167791
What are those guys on either side of the Mustang on the floor?
Those are cool looking basses. On the left is the Nordstrand Acinonyx and on the right is a Birdsong C bass. I really love medium and short-scale basses.
And what year is that Competition Mustang? They're both amazing in their own ways. The Acinonyx comes in at 6.4 lbs which is just wonderful and I love the narrow spacing and tuby sounds. It plays incredibly fast and sounds pretty big. The C bass is just fantastic and modeled after the tone of Scott's favorite vintage P bass.
It's a JMJ Mustang. I added the stripe from a decal. I truly wish Fender would bring back the competition stripes on the vintage style pickup Mustangs. I'd love to have the JMJ in the Gulf racing livery. And what year is that Competition Mustang?
Bet you're loving the tones from those Stingrays.

Thanks to some water damage to our home, I had to move all of my equipment out of its normal living quarters.
I used the opportunity to finally take a photo.
