Update on hardware change from Devon on my PJ5

So many sweet basses on this page. My current collection has only two, but I just added another two but haven't received them yet. The two in the photo are my old standard Schecter Stiletto Studio 6 which I have had for years, and my Ibanez SR506 which I just got a little while ago after trading in my Peavey Cirrus 5. I just bought an MTD Kingston AG 6 and will get it next Friday, and I just created a custom Carvin V69K that will be another 6-8 weeks out. I'll get a photo of all of them when I get them all in one place.

My mayo herd.

Patriot 5 (nordstrand dc), Be5 (nordstrand mm 5.2), Jabba prototype (fender pure vintage`70), Prebass prototype (fender original).

All except the patriot have alder bodies and mahogany necks with ebony fingerboards. The be5 has an additional ash top and graphite reinforced neck. The patriot is wenge/padouk neck with a rosewood board and a ash body with flame maple top.

I got a few new ones and ditched one and now that it's sort of officially summer, it's safe for me to post as every penny I have for the next 3-4 months will go to my mountain biking addiction and not my bass addiction. I SHOULD not be buying any basses for a while, but I have been known to backpedal so don't hold me to it.

just installed an EMG 35DC in my 2012 Modern Player Jazz Bass. the 35dc is beautifully suited to this bass's sound. i had to widen the pickup route to fit it, the end result is kind of ugly but i'm going to fill in the gaps and touch up the finish later. currently the setup is kinda ghetto, with only a volume and tone, with the battery in preamp inside the neck pickup route. later on i'm going to give it a bigger electronics cavity and add a neck pickup and 3-band eq.

Easiest to play fretless I've had, and I've had a lot, and it doesn't hurt that it sounds great and it's built like a tank. Those German fellers know what they're doing.

Here's my Fender Jazz Bass Special. Made in Japan in the late 80's. Bought it used and pretty beat up few years ago.

I love that heavy bridge. The pick up sector comes in handy. The tone is quite aggresive for a passive bass.

Sorry for the crappy quality.
