To Me,dark natural woods beg for the complement of gold hardware.
Doing the EHB probably won't happen.
Can't get gold single string headless tuners.

Well, you clearly have a clearly defined goal and vision! May you modify them all so that they become your greatest treasures! And it's great that you have a sense of humor, I'm not offending anyone with my comments, I know that we are all equal when it comes to this wonderful passion!

Interesting - I played a gig tonight at an SF venue and they offered a Marshal MB150 'combo' bass amp as a back-line. It's not a small space so I brought my own rig because I couldn't imagine a 150w amp being loud enough. (and it has a 15" speaker!) Because they had a substantial FoH, I brought my tc electronics BG250 112 combo amp. At 250w it was tuned up to 12:00 (gain & master) which delivered a nice clean on-stage volume. The Marshal is a bigger/heavier rig... the tc electronic combo amp is smaller and lighter, but sounds really good.

It's nice that sometimes photos also show amplifiers and combos... and it's even nicer that experienced colleagues share their experiences in various combinations... It's very practical! Thanks!

It is a bass ramp and gives me more positions to anchor my thumb when playing with my fingers. I found a gentleman on eBay that was making them a few years back.

Thanks - good to know. We have a mini-residency (playing there again for the next number of Sat nights) so I'll take them up on their backline rig next Sat. One less thing to schlep!

Great! There is potential... and these two scenes remind me again how difficult it is for me to find suitable companions to play with.. Although! ..I recently got in touch with a guitarist in my area... He shares my vision of playing live! After Saint We meet for a little jam at my house to turn words into actions! Maybe this is a good start!... Hopefully...
