This is a picture from Bass Direct where I purchased the bass from! It weighs 4.3 kilos, but doesn't feel as heavy. For example, I can feel all 4.4 kilos on my Alembic. The T-Bass was made by Status in collaboration with Trace Elliott in the 90s, and this is a 2022 reissue with a graphite neck. I purchased it second hand when it became available.
It is absolutely amazing. It is, quality wise, in the same ballpark as my Vigiers and in fact, the neck profile is pretty similar. I am not the biggest fan of the Jazz pickup soloed, and I think the sweet spot is right in the middle! Every tone is useable, and the Status brand is certainly well worth its reputation.

That would have been my next question. I was pretty sure the Ace of Bass played that model.
Just trying to figure out if I need to install straplocks or just use these sturdy oversized strap buttons. They seem like they can hold any strap in place.
Decided to keep the Fender.
Great bass indeed. I have an original T-Bass (ser #0xx) and it is a killer bass. I can just imagine the graphite neck really rocks. Congrats and good luck with it!
2019 Fender American Pro. Olympic White with rosewood. I swapped out the mint pickguard for a brown tortoise one, but otherwise she's stock.

By any chance, have you been able to compare the Dimarzio 60's pickups vs the EMG ?
Not with EMGs. Which obviously are fantastic and part of the Spector “sound” along with a historical pre. But I do like the DiMarzios better than the active Aguilars that came with it. They have their own inherent growl to them that I love. And, I wish all pickup manufacturers incorporated the rounded housing and counter sunk screws. Beautiful design.
I installed a set of the Relentless P-J pickups in one of my basses recently, awesome pickups. Aside from the wiring nightmare LOL

The guitarist of my band uses the guitar of that model.
Really heavyweight (he calls it a 12 lbs guitar), but very beautiful.
I do know the guy from Chat Pile plays one of those.
That was the 1st bass I ever bought. I played it at Central Campus Craze at NC State University back in 1983. This is back when I had hair. Unfortunately, both are gone now.
