The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Here is my 1995 Sterling. I have stilll not changed the strings from the previous owner. I think they are years old Rotosound Swing 66 (red silks at both ends, no colored balls), and they give the bass a nice growl.

I've had this bass in pieces for quite some time but last night I got motivated and installed some DCBs and a darkglass tone capsule. 🖤🤘

Finally got to play one of these at my local GC. I think it was the EHB1000. The roasted maple neck felt fantastic and these would def be on the shortlist if I ever picked up a fretted 34” again.

The EHB roasted maple necks are absolutely top tier. You could put them up against any boutique builder and they'll hold their own if not beat them in comfort and playability. I'm never disappointed when I pick this bass up.

This was a Precision body I bought here last month in the classifieds with a black pickguard and Dimarzio's. I like it a lot better with the tort. I put on my modified '64 Jazz neck that I put a ebony fingerboard on it in '78 with an extra fret. It has EMG passive Geezers, Fender high mass bridge and is strung with Elixer 40-95 strings. I used it at a duo jazz gig Thursday night and it sounded great and it plays amazing. It's been a long time since I've used a passive bass...

Sterlings are hot as hell, a girl I knew in the 90's had one and it sounded so good. Yours looks beautiful.

I just need a Stingray 5, P bass and something more modern, maybe a 2026 MTD Kingston Z. And maybe some more color variation 🤣🤣
