Here's some of my family although some are sold.
1. My first bass. Recently reacquired. Dixon. 1989. About to convert to PJ with custom guard. Passive.
2. Ibanez CT. Passive. 1993
3. Yamaha BB605. My "go to". Great all around instrument. IF I can only carry one bass, this is it.
4. Traben Array 5. Sold. Great bass. Just no application. Midrange-ish. Great for metal. I don't play metal. haha!
5. Traben Neo 5. Traded for ESP B206m (LTD) 6 string. Also great bass. Wanted a 6.
6. Ibanez Talman. Traded for a Warwick Rock Bass 5. No joke. Straight trade! (see the pics below)
7. Ibanez SR255 5 string. My new jammer. Bought as "display". $205. Indistinguishable from new.
8. ESP (NOT LTD) J-five. Killer all around bass. Recently acquired. Action was way too low. Now too high. Needs professional setup at the moment. Still awesome bass.
9. Alvarez Villain 5 string. Custom pickguard, hardware and electronics. Absolutely turned out killer. A series of failures is why it exists. I failed to plan, so I planned to fail, yet somehow I failed at failing cause it's a winner. Passive electronics. One of a kind. I call it the Alvarez Precision Man since it looks like a Music Man and a p-bass had a love child together.

Here's the Warwick that I traded the Talman for. Still having a hard time grasping why he would do that....

And here is the LTD (ESP) I traded the NEO for. Really nice bass. REALLY heavy though.

When I bought the ESP (not the LTD) I attempted to start liquidation of some of the herd and just have like 3 or 4 since I had 9. Well I sold an Epiphone before the top pic was taken and I had the red Alvarez finished. So that was basically a swap. Bought the new ibby since it was so cheap, got the white Dixon back for $65. Sold the Array cause I was broke and traded on the other two. Went from 9 to 8....I failed.

Hi!

I just signed up onto this site to share my joy. I recently bought one of these puppies and made some mods on it:

1. Replaced the stock pickups with EMG JVs
2. Replaced the stock preamp with an EMG BQC
3. Installed a pickguard of my own design. I know some purists may be against it, but i'm really happy because the bass now has my stamp on it =)

Here are some pics, needless to say that this bass sounds BADASS with the new electronics.
