Collector? It's a beat '80s Japanese Fender that I got as payment for moving a friend out West. Perfect, it's worth 600, it was probably looking like 3 or 4, tops. They're good basses, better than US of the time I'm sorry to say, but they aren't collector's items any more than '74 Granadas are. Besides, it's not like I'm going to set the original parts on fire when I'm done with them, if I ever sell it (I won't), I can return it to stock with the exception of a dramatically better neck. I could even refret it if I wanted to. You Fender guys crack me up.It's a near 30 year old collector but it's got to be right for you.

What's going on with those controls? Kinda looks like they've been replaced with short bolts/nylock nuts, but I don't think that's the case.Frankenstein Fender Jazz...Mid 80's MIJ E serial body, refinished MIM Jazz neck, Wizard Big P/J Pickup combo, a hybrid of Gotoh bridges... and the tuners and control plate are AVRI 62.
