The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

I've probably posted this here a few times, but here's my main squeeze. It's a custom Atkinson P-bass I had made a few years back.

Do they sound different? Have different electronics?
They do sound a little different just because of wood combinations but both have same electronics, Nordy NP4A and Nordy 2b pre's. The Black Korina with Roasted Maple neck and Wenge FB belongs to my Girlfriend and after I had that one built for her I liked it so much that I had one built for myself but I play them both. The Black Korina sounds a bit warmer. :)

I didn't need or even really want a new bass but I wound up going to Guitar Center last weekend and found one of the most beautiful and easy playing basses I had ever seen: A purple Schecter Stiletto Studio.

(My phones camera doesn't really do the sweet finish on this bass justice, but you get the point)

This is my first Schecter and I love it, the neck is super comfortable to me and the electronics seem pretty nice so far. I can't wait to take it with me to the next jam with my buddies.

I'd love to find an 8 string in that color. They are really beautiful and Schecter's, IMO, can't be beat for the $$$. I got my 1st Schecter (dUg) less than 2 years ago and now I own 7. I love them.
Enjoy.
