Plays like buttah...
Nice basses are nice basses no matter what is on the head stock. Sweet.
Customized, but all Squier except the pick guard... I absolutely fell in love with the feel of the neck on that thing and when it and grabbed it it's actually just an affinity. I swapped in Duncan design vintage modified pickups and the classic Vibe 60s high mass Bridge so it kind of got me it was a bit of work though. None of the screw holes for the bridge except for the center line up with the standard Bridge. Is it a Fender or Squire? I know Squier made a BMM J at one point.

Before I bought this thing I knew exactly what I wanted the end result to be and how to get there. I did not build it for resale value cuz honestly it's a Squier Affinity jazz bass not like it has a whole lot of resale value. Having said that I absolutely love the way this plays and the sound is exactly what I want from a jazz. Although I prefer playing my P basses most specifically the split coil without the J pickup and I'm not sure why it's just much more pleasant than anything I've ever had my hands to play and I've held and played everything from Fender Custom shops Gibson's Ibanez and I'm a low end well these SX bases while some folks don't like this concept I just love my lowest cost bass...I'm a big fan of Burgundy Mist Metallic. Otherwise, if you know anything about me as a builder - you'll know that dialing a bass to your sonic needs is goal #1 in my house. Sounds like you followed that path and ended up with the bass that "plays like buttah" - enjoy!![]()
