The action is relatively low. Not too much, but it's confortable for me. I don't have fret buzz with mine.

Humm, buzz on the 1st fret seems like it could only be that the nut is filled too low there. You could try wedging something (piece of a tooth-pic?) under your G-string and see if raising it gets rid of the buzz. If that works you can use a mixture of baking soda & superglue to fill in the G slot on the nut (presuming it's bone) and once it cures - file a new slot to the correct depth.
I ordered this bass 3 mths ago, finally arrived last week so I picked it up yesterday. Changed the pickguard from Black to Tortoise. Solid instrument with 18 volt electronics. More later once I've had more of an opportunity to get to know her better.

Pretty interesting I saw the touring bassist for the smashing pumpkins uses bb734a basses. They must be good!

Since the '78 P Bass had to go back (truss rod and neck issues...), I decided to try something new

Finally got them all out for a family portrait. 18 of 21 anyway. My Schecter Michael Anthony is in Pawn, my Squier 50's Classic Vibe P is apart for re-fin and I forgot to get my Kramer Duke Bass out of it's case. I certainly feel Blessed.
Sorry if anyone finds this gross, but I once saw an interview of Geddy Lee and Les Claypool where they were theorizing that bass frequencies increase sperm count (lol why do I remember such things?)... If that were the case, Edbo could repopulate the earth in a year if there was a major disaster....
